Vedic Astrology: An Integrated Approach

I have been on this journey of learning vedic astrology for a couple years now . Taking classes and also reading books ( a lot of books ) on astrology. This book by SrI. P.V.R. Narasimha Rao is a must have for any person who wants to learn astrology , very beginner friendly and the best thing is ....he has small exercises at the end of each chapter so you can practise what you just read to better grasp what he is explaining. It's like learning biology theoretically but the labs take you to a better understanding of the subject. Very much recommend this book.

I purchased this book from Amazon. This I consider is the ultimate book for the beginners. This book has been written by a lesser known astrologer, PVR Narasimha Rao. The problem is since he is not a typical commercial astrologer he is not so celebrated. To add to that he has not written many books. But all Vedic Astrology enthusiasts will quickly identify him by his wonderous creation, Jagannath Hora. This book is my top recommendation. Every topic has been captured and dealt with in reasonable detail. This book is not for advanced learning, but could act as a handbook to all. I read most of this book in the PDF format only, but realized I needed to have it at home in hardcopy if I have to learn astrology.

I purchased the book after reading the reviews here and to my dismay the paper quality is really 👎. Wish Sagar Publisher published it on better paper. This one is a tad bit better than the daily calendar sheets that we tear in our houses.

Very good book

Wonderful book from a humble author... this with BV Raman's how to judge a horoscope editions (as also mentioned in this book) make quite a package along with the jagannath hora software also by the author. A brilliant selfless person keen to keep this knowledge alive. Topics are set out logically in a sequence to teach than to leave a reader quizzed/puzzled. Good service from the merchant as well.

Okay type book.. few things are good.. But I didn't like the way he introduced the Yogas.. They dont work.

Good book

The book is really good. A must read. But the condition of the book delivered was not up to the mark. The edges of the book was little worn out.

Only read a few pages now thought will say a few words. The information involves astrology basics and mathematics side of astrology which can be complicated to understand. However I found the information so far to be useful knowledge. The writing seems to get more complex though the more I turn pages.

The book is good and the author is so knowledgeable. The YouTube channel has got excellent resources.

Author PVR Narasimha Rao is well known in vedic astrology circles. He has been kind enough to create a Vedic astrology software called Jagannatha Hora and provide it free to everyone. He also conducted vedic astrology classes in Boston MA and the classes are available in YouTube. Reading this book helps in adding the knowledge gained from those YouTube videos. This book is excellent for beginners to advanced level and provides insight into vedic astrology principles. I am kind of disheartened that the author has not yet published a revised and updated version of the book, which was originally published in 2001 and reprinted in 2004.
