Sahara S500 bilge pump
All in one automatic bilge pump for boat. I have been using this model for years in customer's boats.

Great Product and Features
I used this on a 25' pontoon with an IO engine (not super common) that stays in the water most of the time. Great product with both automatic and manual wiring. Pretty easy to install (depending on your engine placement/access) and pumps out a steady stream of water. If you only had a single wire via a switch you will need another wire and connector to run directly to battery to allow both automatic and manual modes to work. I used all waterproof marine grade shrink wrap butt splices to connect all wires. I also replaced the plumbing line/hull fitting to ensure no issues. This was a big help as the new line was about 12" longer - this allowed me to place the pump in a better location to get ensure the absolute minimum amount of water was in boat before the float value activates. This was a major step up from the old pump that had failed. I highly recommend !!

Reliable Bilge Pump - Works as Expected
The Attwood 4511-7 Sahara S1100 Automatic Bilge Pump has been a reliable addition to my boat. With a capacity of 1100 GPH and a 12-Volt, 1.5-Amp draw, it efficiently keeps my bilge dry and performs exactly as expected. Installation is straightforward, and the pump operates automatically, which is a huge convenience. It kicks in when needed and shuts off once the water is cleared, providing peace of mind while on the water. Although I’ve noticed the need to replace it yearly, it consistently performs well throughout its lifespan. For the price and reliability it offers, it's a routine maintenance step I’m willing to take. Overall, the Attwood Sahara S1100 is a dependable bilge pump that gets the job done. Highly recommended for its performance and ease of use!

Would not shut off thought it was the pump but hose was clogged
I keep my boat docked in a small lake in WV. The pump float did not turn off. It ran until the battery was dead. I thought is was the pump but the hose was clogged. I removed the clog and the pump runs strong. It turns on and off like is should with the float.

Sailboat Protection from Extreme Rain
Here in the Pacific Northwest we get extreme rain storms - many of them. This humble little pump has been keeping my boat afloat for over a year now. I was wishing to replace the old pump that had served the boat for decades, a Rule brand pump, but Rule chose to discontinue the model. They opted instead to make a cheaper version that uses an electronic circuit to run the pump EVERY TWO MINUTES!!! What? That's right, every two minutes that thing will use your boat's power to see if there's any water to pump. The old design uses a built-in float switch. That design was flawless. This pump I'm reviewing, the Attwood 4507-7 Sahara S750, uses the same design. Yes, it's made in China. Guess what? All the famous Rule pumps are now also made in China. Just like most of the miscellaneous components your "MADE IN THE USA" car are made in China. I found an alternate pump that is as close to the same specs as I could to the original Rule pump. Rule no longer makes one that fits this closely. I looked at a lot of reviews before settling on this particular one and have no regrets.
