I've carried it in my pants pocket for years and never had anything that came close to an accidental discharge, so I'm satisfied with the safety and firing mechanism. Thankfully, I have never needed to actually put its effectiveness to the test. The snap hook attaches very well. The firing mechanism feels very high quality – much sturdier than the competitors' ones where you slide the trigger to the side. I also like the variety of color options!

I don’t have to worry about accidentally spraying myself as you have to lift the top up to spray! 🙏 also comes with a quick push clip off key chain (see video for visual explanation) so u would be able to use it fast. I feel so much safer with this! The colors are cute, it’s not some huge can on my keychain the size is great, and affordable. 100% 5 star product for me! Hopefully I don’t ever have to use it but if I do I’ll come let you know if it worked!

I bought 3 for my wife and daughters, so far they have not had to use them. They are quality made inside and out. It states that it causes “involuntary eye blinking” on the package. POM makes quality products.

I bought this to carry with me while I was traveling across country it gave me peace of mind if I were to get in a bad situation. Fortunately I did not and didn't have to use it

I purchased POM because “Active Self Protection” on YouTube recommended this brand. I like to go walking to trails and I wanted to get something small to carry on me, just to feel a little more safe. I was reading the instruction on how to use it and decided to spray a tiny amount onto my bathroom sink, and then opened the faucet to wash it off and that simple action threw me into a coughing attack, and now my throat is irritated and my nose is running non stop. I felt like I was choking for a few moments. I cannot even imagine how it will feel if sprayed on the face!! This stuff is STRONG!! Im definitely repurchasing more to attach to my other hiking/walking packs, carry in my purse, car.

I bought this for my daughter to carry on her keychain. I like the compact size. Keeping it on her keychain, she will always have it available. Flipping the top cover open requires practice to develop muscle memory for use, thus the 3 star for ease of use. On the plus side, there is far less chance of accidentally discharging the contents than some of the other designs. I would recommend this pepper spray.
