E-Cloth Washing Up Pad, Non-Scratch Kitchen Scrubber/Wiper - Brilliant for Removing Stuck-On Food from Pots & Pans, assorted colors

This product is LIFE CHANGING. If you bought this or are thinking about it DO IT and give it a chance. My parents live with me, and so it is mostly my mom and I who clean the kitchen (my dad likes to make the cooking messes lol.) I became chronically ill about 5 years ago and then about 6 months ago I began reading into NSF & other studies on germs inside your home. Of course the studies led me to the kitchen predominantly, and mostly....the SPONGE. The sponge is THE dirtiest item in your house. If you are reading this I am guessing you too have read the studies and are looking for another solution to be able to clean your dishes and maintain hygiene in the kitchen. I ordered two of these, which face it one is basically the cost of a pack of cellulose sponges at the grocery store and these will last for years. I tossed the sponges in the kitchen and told my mom to not buy any more. Make sure you get FBA "Fulfilled By Amazon" only as I have heard fakes are roaming about. These feel really great in your hand! The yellow side is GUARANTEED to remove 99% of bacteria with JUST water. Wipe down your counters, dishes etc. Just rinse well with HOT water in between uses. This sponge does not kill bacteria, rather it traps it in it's fibers and then when ran under hot water releases them. THIS IS THE ONLY CLOTH REGISTERED WITH THE EPA AS AN INSECTICIDE using JUST WATER. There are no chemicals inside, you don't even need soap if you don't want! Remember this is ONLY the yellow side. I use the silver scrubby side for hard things then rinse the sponge, turn it over and wipe clean with the yellow side. Toss this in the washing machine 1x a week in HOT HOT water, and air dry. Dry on it's SIDE not flat always. The sponge inside this is polyurethane and dries quickly because of the open spaces on the scrub side and the waffle weave on the yellow side wicks out moisture from the sponge, so it may be damp for a while, that is ok because it is soaking up what the sponge had in it so the sponge does NOT get bacteria in it. (I was curious so I emailed the company for this information.) Enjoy your new sponge! Just make sure to take care of it! Can't wait until they make more colors. Also you should get some of their cloths, they are SO worth it. They are more expensive on Amazon because shipping on the company's website directly is INSANE.

I don't remember how I discovered this dish scrubber, but I'm glad I did. I cook tons and make plenty of messes. I rubbed holes in other dish scrub pads to get remove food/juices that leaked off the parchment paper or that stuck to the pan. This pad doesn't quit, no holes, and it washes easily. I rinse and wash it regularly. I have not experienced that moldy, mildewy smell at all! It cleans like a champ and gets stuck on food better than anything I've tried. I also like how it helps clean my countertops. I already ordered another one to use when my current one is being washed. Who knew I'd be happy about a dish scrubbing pad?! Glad I am since it makes my life just a little bit easier.

A great product. Haven’t used anything else since we bought this. Does not mold and cleans well. We have cleaned it in the dishwasher a few times. Cleans great on the rough side( which has metal strings woven). This side foams well. However the pure cloth side does not foam well, that is not effective. The metal strings slowly deters and comes out. Still I would recommend this product. It Stops trashing multiple sponges every few weeks which is bad for nature.

I have a large family and spend a lot of time washing dishes so anything that speeds up the chore or makes it easier it always a bonus. This sponge cleans as well as described in the items description but either the size of the sponge wasn't included in the item's description or I missed it. Since this sponge is 7" long and 4" wide it has to have been designed by a man - and a man with very large hands! The first time I tried using it it the sponge it kept flipping out of my hands. I am 5'3" and have average size hands (my glove size is small or medium) and I think the majority or women out there would also have a hard time holding onto this sponge even though the middle of the sponge is a bit tapered. Since I do the majority of dish washing in our house along with countless other women the size of the sponge really should have been taken into consideration when it was designed! If you are a man with average size hands or a woman who wears an extra large glove size you shouldn't' have any trouble holding the spong in one hand. But, if you are like me with small to medium size hands either pass on this sponge or plan on several days of softening it up so that you are able to use it! I ended up running it through several the dishwasher several times which helped loosen it up enough that I could barely hold it and then after a few days of washing with it I was able to hold it without constantly dropping it in the sink! It does a great job cleaning and is safe for my stoneware and pans that can't handle a very abrasive sponge. But, it would be much easier to use if it wasn't so big!

Love the fact that this scrubber does not scratch surfaces. Does the job beautifully and quickly.

We have used E-Cloth products for years but had never hopped on the sponge wagon until recently. I am so glad we did! These sponges are durable enough to clean grease off of the stove and polish surfaces, and they are gentle enough to clean cast-iron skillets without hurting the seasoning on the pan. I throw it in the dishwasher about once a week and it comes out smelling clean and (almost) like new! We have run it through the dishwasher about ten times, and it is still in great shape. I highly recommend this sponge if you want to cut back on waste while still getting a durable and effective product.

Allerdings habe ich nur normal verschmutztes Geschirr, da ich täglich den Abwasch mache und auch nichts bis zur Unkenntlichkeit anbrennen lasse. Meine Edelstahltöpfe, Gußeisenpfannen, sowie Geschirr, Besteck und Gläser lassen sich prima mit dem Schwamm abwaschen.

I bought my first one of these sponges about 6 years years ago for a camping trip for my son. The list they were told to bring including washing up cloths and dishes. They ended up using paper plates. But we did use it for family camping trips. The first sponge survived a number of years as a camping sponge. It eventually ended up used in the house, and finally got thrown out as rather slimy and worn after having gone through the washing machine countless times. But since then I have always had a camping and a household e sponge. I like to have a relatively new one for camping. My son does ultralight, meaning you don't pack any extra weight. This also means no nonstick cookware. It's generally things like mess tins or aluminium. Camping stoves, or open flames do not cook as evenly as modern induction cookers. You also don't have things like sinks, washing up liquid or other conveniences. You might be able to heat some water in one of the pots, to loosen grease, but it's mostly cold water and elbow grease. This is meant to be able to remove over 99% of bacteria with just scrubbing. I do find the scrubbing surface is nit as good after repeated use and cycles through the washing machine, so I would definitely not get 100 uses from a sponge for camping. It is quite often a new sponge taken on camping trips, and if not it's a very close to new one. But these really do get everything clean with only water and I have never found anything else that works so well. After a few camping trips, they become household sponges, I am extremely sensitive to chemicals and really love being able to use just water. If extra disinfecting is needed, boiling water works. If the sponges are rinsed and dried properly, I expect at least a year of household use out of them. An occasional soak in boiling water keeps bacteria from growing. If thye get very dirty, I do put them in the washing machine. I have never had one tear or burst. Amazon says I have only bought these twice, but that must just refer to the ones with these packaging.mi have just bought two more of these. As the scrubb8ng surfaces begins to wear down, they get used for more difficult jobs and occasionally get thrown away because let someone use wone with motor oil, or one gets lost on a camping trip. I did have one get such a terrible slime I didn't even want to wash it, but binned it, but I have never had one wear out. When you consider the fact that they require less chemical cleaners, or none, they really are an excellent purchase , both for economy and ecology. I consider them absolutely essential camping gear as well. This is without doubt the best sponge I have ever used.

*Edited to add that a couple months into using these, The scrubby pad is getting worn way quicker than previous Eco Cloth sponges I've bought. They have either changed the quality of their products, or these ones are not genuine. I still think that they are better than the disposable ones, but would recommend buying off the Eco Cloth website or a reliable supplier, perhaps? Awesome product! Scrubs and cleanses well, easy to wash and last forever. Will not go back to the disposable ones ever.
