Raising Chickens For Dummies

We weren't sure if we were going to get chickens or not so we decided to do some research. This book looked the most in-depth so we gave it a try and it's excellent! It's a great resource for learning about chickens or even just refreshing your memory on certain topics. Covers everything from which breeds to consider suitable for your purposes, how to build coops and what type of coop to use, chicks, eggs, laying, butchering, and everything in between. Really simple language and makes everything easy to understand. Highly, highly recommend!

We had chickens a few years back. Now our son wants to raise them, so we bought the book for him.

My DIL bought me chickens for Christmas, lol. This book was a big help. I still need to give it a really good read, but from what I've thumbed through and looked at so far, it's a great book. It's humorous, full of facts and helpful info, and thorough.

Ordered for my daughter and her family as they are moving from a large city to a small town. She is planning on some chickens and good eggs, too. Good basic book to get started on her journey.

I wish the book had more about parasitic issues, but overall, it is a good book.

This book covers every beginner topic you might need with great advice in both paragraph and bullet-point style. Could use some more reference photos but that's okay if you have Google nearby. Thank you Kimberly Willis and Robert T. Ludlow for a great resource!
