switch layout confusing on pc
I got this to play steam games on the tv, never used a controller before, always use mouse/keyboard but some games are so obviously designed for controllers it's hard to use the keyboard - assassin's creed odyssey and trine 4 being two i'm trying to play atm.The controller installs and is detected fine and it shows as an xbox 360 controller. In games it's saying 'press A' and i'm pressing A and nothing is happening. It took me a while to realise that on xbox controllers the A/B and X/Y are the other way up. I thought I'd be able to just remember this as i played but it's confusing as hell, especially when it flashes up 'press Y now' or something you have to remember, oh it means X.Yes i could reconfigure it but then the controls would effectively be upside down from the original layout. It's no use to me, I'm sending mine back and getting the Trust 545 which has the buttons labelled the right way round. If you are very used to controllers this might not bother you as you can just press the buttons without thinking but i'm trying to learn how to play with a controller and it's just too confusing with milabelled buttons. It's odd that you can change the D pad but you can't change button labels.

A good multi-purpose controller
Overall a good shape with responsive buttons and sticks, handy to use with both PC and Switch.A few small problems:- A/B/X/Y buttons are slanted with the controller surface. There could have been a raised circle to keep them level, like there is with the D-Pad, but there isn't. This makes the A button in particular feel a bit strange.- The triggers (ZR/ZL) aren't proper triggers, they are regular clicky-buttons in the shape of triggers - feels a little bit strange when playing shooter games.- General shape and size is most similar to a Playstation 4 Controller - the middle of the controller is too bit, the hands are a little bit too far apart from each other when holding the controller. This controller doesn't have the same giant rectangle-shaped button that the PS4 controller has, so the middle of the controller doesn't need to be so big, but it is anyway.- The thumbsticks are a little bit small - I recommend getting a thumbstick grip-cap to go with this controller, it feels better.

L2 R2 buttons are not trigger style buttons but rather plain buttons.
L2 R2 buttons are not trigger style buttons but rather plain buttons. Either 100 percent input or 0 no in between. Quite disappointing for racing games. Build quality seems ok though.

Look Elsewhere
Honestly disappointed with this controller,Instructions are minimal and support for other devices is disappointing (Android) I know it stated that it might not but had higher expectations.I purchased this not knowing it was the switch layout which was my own fault but taking apart the controller I found that the Xbox layout is engraved inside the controller which was interesting and found that the buttons are irreplaceable as they use their own standard so it is not changeable to Xbox layout, if they introduced a set of buttons to replace the switch ones the rating would be much higher. Also, no trigger style buttons which is very disappointing wish they spent more time on this rather than the Replaceable D-Pad which is a pointless featureLong story short id only recommend buying this if you are only needing it for the switch, getting this for PC gaming only is a waste of time. This was my last hope before resorting to the XBOX controller which I have been avoiding.Only plus is the USB-C charging.

Great, but DInput pairing is not mentioned in manual.
Works up until now great.I was disappointed when I noticed "PC Compability" meant XInput only, but I have some experience from other game pads,so I tried different button press combinations than the two listed ones.I found that this Gamepad seems supports three pairing modes. Except the documented Switch- and XInput-mode, it also has an un-referenced DInput mode - press Home and Y buttons simultaneously to initiate DInput pairing.Works great for games/emulators on Android or Android TV devices, except rumble won't work.
