If I were to ever make a time capsule I would put this splat midnight magenta hair dye in as the main and center piece so that future generations know this is literally the ONLY magenta hair dye that doesn’t fade after two washes. I wash my hair like every 2 days because I hate being greasy, and the color is still vibrant for like a month. Also it’s literally the most fabulous color ever, so magenta. I used to be not trusting of splat because people said it didn’t wash out, then I was like “wait but I don’t want my dye to wash out” and voila! It doesn’t! But it does fade so if you do want to redye it a different color just wait a few months. Also it literally doesn’t stain my shower at all and I wasn’t even trying to keep it clean.

I love this magenta color. But I did forget how quick it does wash out.

Splat gets a bad rep but I love this stuff. I get compliments on my color all the time. I’ve purchased so many “high end” hair color products and none of them stay like this one.

My go to. Goes on bright. Stays bright for a while and fades well. Easy to bleach out. Will stain skin for 3-7 days though, look out for that.

Splat are by far the best product for a bright and flashy color that last a long time. Yes it stain, but it will last a long time . I dye my daughter's hair often in different shade . And i always go for splat first..never dissapointed so far

Easy to use. It comes pre mixed and has lasted quite some time. I use to touch up my blue permanent color more often as it would turn like a seafoam green after a few months. This is still going strong and some strands are a bit more pink but still nice. I would say be VERY careful with respect to not getting the dye on countertops and clean of skin immediately because it will stain. I also rinsed off after use in the kitchen sink as I was concerned it would be hard to get off the white tub. Subsequently showering won’t stain the tub but just really ensure you protect the surfaces you are working near. A few drops got onto my white quartz countertop and I had to spray bleach and let it sit a few minutes to get the pink out. DO NOT use near marble counters because it will not come out.

This product did dye my hair but only when it’s been bleached and loved the colour but when I dyed my unbleached roots it did not colour my roots it only gave it a tint of red

I absolutely LOVE this hair dye. Years ago when I first started to use it, the color would bleed all over the place. I'm not sure if they have made improvements, but the color does not bleed as much. Bright - super bright even on dark hair. Easy to apply - but I would recommend gloves, and some lotion to put on your ears/neck.
