Great gift idea.
I bought these as my white elephant gift at a family Christmas party. Everyone faught over this gift. I personally think there is a little too many mint flavored candy in the tin, but the rest of the flavors are so good. It comes in a cute tin and boxed in a nice box. I recommend these as a Christmas gift or a treat for yourself.

Take you back in time
I bought this for my mother-in-law. She absolutely loved the variety of classic candies. They were sweet and flavorful. It is impossible to find these candies anywhere else. It is a great gift for those who are difficult to buy for. She said it took her back. Definitely recommend to others.

Disappointed
This candy tastes nothing like I hoped it would. There's no ribbon or filled candies as advertised. If there are filled, it's so miniscule Ican't tell. I will not buy this brand again nor do I recommend it for purchase. I wish I'd have spent the money on a different brand of hard candy. Like All City Candy, Brach, Bulk Store, Candyland Store, Candy Warehouse, Colorado Candy Company, Hammond, Hercules Candy & Chocolate Shop, Primrose, Sevigney's, Vermont Country Store, Washburn's, Worthlin. So many other options! Of course it's just my opinion & to me facts.

Candies From My Childhood!
I don't often review items from Amazon, but I think this is worth my time. I was looking for a reminder of my childhood memories of ribbon hard candies and so thought I would check to see what Amazon had available I found this offering and read through the reviews. Even though some of the reviews seemed to be less than favorable I thought it worth the try. I must say that in spite of some less than favorable reviews I found these hard candies to be quite delightful. Of a possible 5.0 score I would give them a 4.8. I will admit that they are a bit costly for a hard candy, but I believe that as the process for these candies is more hands on than a lot of todays confections made today, I can understand why. Also I was looking for "ribbon candies" specifically which ended up being a very small portion of this offering. Now getting past my two distractors...these candies tasted fantastic. I do not agree with other reviewers as to not enough flavors. I understand that nothing is quite as magical as the sights, sounds, and flavors of our childhood, especially in regards to the holidays. That being said every candy that I sampled tasted wonderful, and brought back memories of my childhood at Christmas time (some 50 years ago). I can see, I can taste the hard candy assortment in my mom's three layer candy dish on the coffee table in the living room (when I could sneak a piece). Regardless of what ever else you have read in the reviews, if you are a child of the late 60's-early 70's and are wanting a transportation experience back to your childhood, then I would say that I don't think that you will be disappointed in putting one these candies in your mouth, closing your eyes, and being transported back to the simpler time in your young life at Christmas time. Merry Christmas... or blessed holidays however you choose to celebrate this time of year?

A brick.
This takes me back to my childhood when my parents and grandparents always had this in a crystal dish during the holidays. But I don't remember it turning into a block of candy as soon as it's exposed to air.
