Great Machine and Great Price
I have been using this machine for my little league team for a month and a half and it works great. I have the machine set at about 42 feet away and it pitches strikes continuously. I am using a mix of tee balls, which are softer, and hard stitched balls. The machine tends to shoot the tee balls around more than the hard balls but that gives them some practice waiting for the right pitch. I would definitely recommend this to any one in the market to buy a machine. Also, setup was fairly easy and I received the machine very quickly. The site says it takes two additional days for processing but mine actually came when the site said it was first shipping. Not sure what happened there but I am not complaining. All in all, good machine and good company.

Good Quality at a rock bottom Price
Would highly reccomend this machine! Do not, however, put real balls in it. It pitches dimple balls great, but real balls fly all over the place. My DD is 13 and I use this for her 14U practices. Pitches fast enough that it will last her until college. **UPDATE** I've now had this machine for almost 3 years. Daughter now plays 18U club ball. As for real balls, the only ones I have found that work well in this machine are the Baden ballistic pitching machine balls. Still a great machine after all these years. I had a girl hit a line drive right back at the machine. Ball hit the cord just right and ripped the wires free from the motherboard inside. Called Firstpitch and had a wiring diagram sent to me with no questions asked. Superior customer service! They will also repair the machine with free labor if there ever is an issue, parts are at cost. I could not recommend this machine and this company more highly.

Nicknamed "Spinning Wheel of Death" to the kids ...
A very good product that works as advertised. Very easy to use and adjust. I found that if I vary the way I feed the ball to the wheel it slightly varies the location of the pitches, which is very helpful. Similarly, if I am consistent about feeding the ball into the machine, the pitch is consistent. The device need readjustment between 10 and 30 pitches, usually a very slight movement back to the right. The device has saved a lot of wear and tear on my arm, and a lot of aggravation as the pitches are consistently good. The device seems to be made of good quality steel, although I have already damaged one of the plastic adjustment clamps when it fell from my car to the ground. I'll use a wrench until I get that part replaced. One thing to point out, and the reason I give this four stars instead of five, is that the wheel is not protected, and is VERY dangerous. I have to be very careful working around it, and tell the kids to stay away from the machine while the wheel is spinning. To emphasize the point, I call the pitching machine the "Spinning Wheel of Death." If one were to accidentally come into contact with the wheel, during adjustment, or while bending down or over to pick up a ball, a VERY bad friction burn could result. Also, I believe that if the machine were knocked over while the machine was in operation it would take off uncontrolled until it unplugged itself. (There may be an internal gyroscope cut off switch for all I know though.) I believe this could be somewhat mitigated with a fender or some other device around the outside of the wheel. I'm not sure how this would affect the weight or cost of the device though, but the manufacturer probably had good reasons for not including this safety feature. All the same, if one observes the same safety procedures one would use while working with, say a lathe or a wood chipper, the threat to people and property can be minimized, and it will no doubt provide years of good service.

Great Machine
I have used this machine all summer for my travel team's practices. It works great and can even be used for flyballs. UPDATE JAN 2013: Still using this machine and it is working great. We use it at least once a week and the accuracy of this machine compared to our other machine (blue jugs) is much better and a lot more consistent. UPDATE DEC 2013: Used the machine all summer and still using the machine indoors for our travel team and it's working great. UPDATE Feb 2016: Ok, still using the machine. I coached a 16U travel team last season and took this everywhere. I will run it off my 1000w generator when there are no outlets. Just last night I sanded the wheel and ordered another 2 dozen Jugs Sting Free balls (got 4 yrs out of my last batch and will now just use those for flyball drills). Also, the company has great service as I broke the on/off toggle switch and they sent me a new one for $11 that I received within 4 days. Looking forward to wamer weather so we can get back outside now with my 12U team. Let's hope I get another 4 years out of this machine.

Love it!
The pitching machine works great. You have to make sure the ball feeder is set close enough to the wheel to get full velocity on the ball, but once you get that set you are good to go. The consistency of the pitches is pretty good and the controls are simple. When I opened the box up there were no instructions and I was thinking this was going to be pain, however, assembly is simple and any idiot can do it ... I proved that! Buy without hesitation as this is a great price point for a solid pitching machine.
