Opening is a little larger than press fit hose
Hooks up to zodiac hose fine but the press fit side inner diameter is slightly larger than it should be so need to to bulk up the connecting hose with tape.

Exactly what I needed.
After struggling with strips of palm fronds in my pool every windy winter from my neighbor's yard and basically killing my pull sweep (Zodiac MX-8) and using a net to clean... something had to give. This was a perfect attachment to another purchase of a manual vacuum attachment. I can now easily switch between the pool sweep and my manual vacuum using the same hose. It was essential to use the same hose as I also have a zodiac catch filter inline on my hose. I filled that catch can filter twice in a 15 minute cleaning session. Normally it takes me an hour and a half to clean it out with the net and still i had to let the pool sweep do the job.Anyhow, works perfectly!

Worked great to attach a scrubber brush. I had to use a bit of silicone to keep it on, but it was exactly what was needed.
