Rain-X 831991L Windscreen Washer Additive, 1 Litre

If you get smearing on your windscreen then this is the ideal product! You simply add a small amount to the cars washer bottle and the solution results in a very clear windscreen with water simply beading off the screen, much improving the visibility. The solution is also effective at removing bug residue and seems to stick to the screen that it is effective for quite a while. For the amount you get and the ease in which it removes road-film, this is a value for money product. Highly recommended.

Why did you choose this product over others?: Living in the moist mildewy climes of scotland ,where summer is probably 2 weeks in may and thats it, windscreen wipers are fairly important. I used the karate kid wipe on wipe off rain x and found it to be superb . On side windows it would last for months . On the windscreen ....not so much . Impressive but after a bit of wiper action ,meh. While blethering with some web toed comrades i was extolling the virtues of said rain x to a motor cycle helmet wearer , it came up about the rain x screen wash . Now i didnt know this stuff existed and last screen wash i had stank of bubblegum and has put me off bubblelisous for life. After a trip into the amazon and delivered nxt day (sooooperb) ,i was taken back a bit about size of bottle ,it was a bit small compared with the foul smelling radioactive gallon i was used to. So having thouroghly scanned and not read the instructions ,sniffed the bottle (ok) i put a scotsmans amount in ,mabey about a quarter mabey... it works well . Cleaned the grime ,streak free ,didnt smell and had the water beading of the hard work stuff . Been a few weeks and im still impressed by it . We will see if the more winter times need a more potent mix ,i will have no probs getting this again .

i have been using the 200ml bottles of rainex for a few years now and its great for expelling water and giving better visability when raining. i am hoping this additive will make that initial treatment last longer than the 2-3 months i usually get. i decided to try the additive instead of the mixed wash because you can use 5lrs of screen wash pretty quick in winter removing salt from the screen or bugs in the summer, i am hoping that since this is made by rainex, they have solved the issue of normal screen wash just beading up and getting repelled from the screen and thus having the inability to remove bugs in summer. removing salt has never been an issue when using rainex since salt absorbs water. would recommend rainex repellent treatment anytime. will update after real testing

I dont know who is writing these 5 star reviews or why this is an Amazon choice but it is an appalling product. Not only will it leave terrible smears but they are incredibly hard to remove. Night glare caused by this is dangerous. It actually eats away at the rubber on the wipers so you get rubber marks as well. If you dont trust my review, read the low star review from others and check their pictures. With this product you cant see out your windshield and you will need to replace your wipers. Horrible stuff.

Since I tried this product, can't use any other. This is the best screen wash

Good stuff. Helps to keep windscreen clear of rain and to prevent wipers from leaving marks. Will continue to use this regularly.

Ich nutze den Rain-X Waschflüssigkeitszusatz jetzt seit ein paar Wochen und bin wirklich überrascht, wie groß der Unterschied ist. Schon nach den ersten Anwendungen merkt man, wie sauber die Scheibe wird – komplett streifenfrei, ohne Schlieren oder schmierigen Film. Besonders genial ist aber der Regenabweiser-Effekt: Sobald es regnet, perlt das Wasser einfach ab und man muss die Scheibenwischer deutlich weniger oft benutzen. Bei Fahrtwind sieht man einfach viel klarer. Die Anwendung ist super simpel: einfach zur Scheibenwaschanlage dazugeben, fertig. Kein Aufwand, aber ein riesiger Effekt. Auch bei Nachtfahrten habe ich das Gefühl, dass die Sicht deutlich angenehmer ist, weil entgegenkommende Lichter weniger blenden. Für mich ein kleines Produkt mit großem Nutzen – ich kaufe es auf jeden Fall wieder!

A diluer avec de l'eau (je mets 1L de produit pour 5litres d'eau). Je n'utilise plus les essuies glaces lorsque je roule, effet déperlant hyper efficace. A l'arret ou à basse vitesse on peut utiliser les essuies glaces mais ce n'est pas vraiment nécessaire.

Mein Mann braucht den Scheibenreiniger fürs Auto. Ich habe den Scheibenreiniger für das Fenster benutzt und bin Begeistert keine Streifen 👍

Everyone should be using Rain-x either as an additive in their windshield washer liquid or by the concentrated version to apply directly on the windshield. It is a huge security addition keeping the windshields free of residue, rain and snow sludge.
