This is one of the best monitors I have ever used!
Disclaimer: This is just my personal experience with the monitor. I have been using it for the last few days. This CB282K monitor doesn't cause much eye strain even after long hours of coding. I use it at 1080p (since 2160 is an integer multiple of 1080) for sharpness and a decent text size. The backlight appears to be flicker-free (doesn't use PWM for dimming) when seen through a phone's camera. The AR coating is really good - does its job without spoiling the picture quality. For best results when using with MBP 2019 (running Monterey) via DP:- To solve the high CPU fan speed issue and to prevent the refresh rate from being reset to "Variable (40-60Hz)" every time the monitor wakes up from sleep, turn off FreeSync in monitor settings and set the refresh rate to the fixed value of 60Hz in the MacOS display settings. Make sure you're using a USB-C-to-DP cable that supports at least [email protected] Turn off HDR in MacOS display settings.

I researched a lot of monitor & laptop brands and acer comes top in terms of cost-effectiveness.
I'm using it over 1 years and it's condition is just like new. no dead pixels so far. my only complain is that when I rotate it 90º, and undo it, then the monitor is not absolutely horizontal, like -1º~1º is very easily rotatable by hands. I don't know if other brands have the same issue. But the good news is, if you don't touch the monitor, it'll stay as it is. Which means it does not rotate by itself. So, with a tool like roll corrector, it can be absolutely horizontal.Other than this trivial issue(yes I call it trivial because other monitor brands had serious issues like vertical red line with one pixel thickness or the menu does not work sometimes), acer does not have a serious issue so far. I think acer know how to make a win-win by making a high quality product and still super cost-effective.

4k is nice but its so slow to power on.
Its nice but WHY does it take more than 10 seconds to show my login screen after turning the monitor back on. I mean like one one thousand.... two one thousand ............ omgThere is also an intermittent line in the screen from using a monitor mount. The mount point isn't strong enough and will affect your screen depending on the angle. Considering an RMA on the monitor now.

These are great if you know what to expect and get them at the right price.
I have seen these range in price from $249 to $349 depending on worldwide availability, but the consistency in quality and functionality keeps me buying them at all prices. I use these for workstation setups in a financial and construction office and every single user loves them to death. These are one of the most budget-friendly 4K displays with all of the height/pivot/rotate features one could want. We have a mixed Win/Mac environment and these displays function great with both systems. These come with an HDMI cable and a power cable ONLY.**For M1 Macs and really ANY MacBook running macOS 13 or greater:**THIS $150 HUB IS 100% REQUIRED FOR 2 OR MORE DISPLAYS TO WORK AS YOU ARE EXPECTING THEM TO:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CRSH25X/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1**For Windows machines**:All you need are HDMI and DisplayPort connections.

Great for business use
I really like the resolution and size of this monitor for business use. I use virtual monitor software that makes it easy to divide this monitor into multiple virtual monitors (Microsoft free PowerToys, FancyZones utility. There are other commercially available virtual monitor SW packages but this free one from Microsoft works great for me) . I run this 28" 4K monitor as two monitors, slit in the middle, so two 1920 x 2160. I use my laptop keyboard and monitor with this 28" 4K monitor sitting right behind my open laptop monitor. So, I effectively have 3 HD monitors.

Save yourself a hassle with Acer Customer support
Don't get me wrong Monitor was superb, while it was working. However I think electronics is "tweaked" (leaky electrolyte or whatever) to die around 3 year. Save your money and go elsewhere. If you still want to buy it, please make sure to check the Production date , its in the back where serial number is. I was sold a monitor that was an year older ( I kid you not!) than my purchase date ( only discovered when I started warranty).Lets say you still bought this monitor and now it requires a service. SAVE THE BOX! they don't ship boxes or pay for shipping. yes, I kid you not! So I thought, what kind of Japanese company could be so poor at the customer service? Guess what, this is not a Japanese product or company! Google it and all what I wrote above will make sense! Please look elsewhere, only through the power of customer, companies can be changed, wield that power, one customer at a time.

Everything you're looking for in a 4K display... Works well with iMac
All the positives are in the great looking display, intuitive OSD menu that is controlled by the rear joystick and vertical array of selection buttons (I didn't find it necessary to read the manual), up/down/tilt/swivel stand and solid base, zero-edge screen. I replaced an old Dell 24" UW FHD display and am using this Acer 28" as an extended monitor with my 27" iMac. I can't quite get the colors to match, no matter what color profile combo I use. I settled on using sRGB for both (suits my needs very well and colors are so close that most people wouldn't notice). The one and only downside I give this monitor is that it takes about 60 secs to sync the signal when I wake up my Mac. I don't know how it acts as a standalone monitor or as an extended dual display on Windows. Nonetheless, I would absolutely buy another and would recommend this monitor to everyone.
