You need a device that can receive 433MHz signals and put that device it in to "listen" or "learn" mode, then press the button. It should register with your device. I use a RFXCOM - RFXtrx433 USB 433.92MHz Transceiver plugged in to a Raspberry Pi running the Domoticz home automation software. When I select "Learn Light/Switch" from the Domoticz web site running on the Pi and press the button, it detects the 433MHz signal and asks you to give it a name to add it to the home automation system. You can then associate scripts etc with it. There are other devices that may be simpler than this, but I haven't used them (eg Sonoff WiFi RF Bridge).
