The Picture of Dorian Gray Paperback – October 4, 2019

As is mentioned in other reviews, the size is abnormally large for a paperback for no apparent reason. But I needed a cheap option to buy many of quickly for my classroom. The one thing a student noticed today was that Chapter 4 appears to not be in the book, it went from Chapter 3 to Chapter 5 in format. Though upon review, Chapter 4 IS in the book, but isn't labeled as such, just rolled into Chapter 3. For reference, Chapter 4 begins on pg. 23 with the phrase "One afternoon."

The physical copy of this book looks ridiculous. Pictures show a normal sized book for comparison. Returning and going to buy a copy from books a million.

I have seen the old movie several times, and it tempted me to order the book. Oscar Wilde was a "wild child", and he gives a glimpse into the often vain and decadant world of English society through the wanton excesses of Dorian...who appears to remain beautiful, youthful, and untouched by evil. It is Dorian's portrait that decays with every misdeed, including murder. The picture haunts Dorian as he travels among the rich, and also into the opium dens and low life of the waterfront. This edition contains a glossary of lesser known terms and references, for us modern folk. It was a quick and fascinating read.

Haven't read yet but it sounded interesting. The cover picture is very cool.

Classic story, quick delivery and good price

The book came in good condition and in a timely manner.

The book itself is great, but the physical book is weird and super large for no reason. Awkward to hold.

My youngest daughter is an avid reader and loves re-reading books she was assigned in English class. In fact, she is a collector of these required assigned readings such as The Picture of Dorian Gray.

Hello there. The formatting of this edition was distracting and aesthetically displeasing because the font was too small and none of the writing was lined up which made it very difficult to read this book even though this is one of my favourite literary classics. If you want to read this novel, please buy another edition since this one is not worth it.

Picture for scale.This is an absurdly sized publication. The book is huge, the print is small. Totally impracticable as a novel.

Good size book and not too thick to look intimidating and the print size is decent to read

Inside the writing is too small.. Helplessness.. From the photo I can't understand was like this.Don't buy guys..
