Browning Pheasants Forever Upland Canvas Jacket

1-26-2024This is a review of the Browning “Pheasants Forever” hunting jacket. It is a XL size.The Pheasants Forever logo is nicely embroidered on the left sleeve shoulder and the jackets seems to be top quality. I just got it and if I have any problems with it I will update my review. But so far, it looks like the best one I’ve ever seen.I am 5’10” and lean but have a 48” chest so I ordered the XL. I am glad I did. It will work well; it will be a tiny bit large on 60° warm days when I wear just a T-shirt underneath, but on cooler and cold days it will accommodate me wearing layers under it such as a vest, sweater or cold weather jacket for added warmth as needed.The game bag built into it has a zipper across the top and snaps at both sides to open it up to easily clean and dry it post-hunt. It is not removable but in my humble opinion, that means it won’t fall off or get left behind.The front of the jacket has two tall and wide nylon-cloth-lined easy access slash pockets for storage of snacks or gloves or more ammo (or for your truck, these pockets are big!). It also has two smaller zippered pockets over the slash pockets (one on each chest) for storing your cell phone or camera, etc., and two D-rings on the chest for game calls or your hunting license/permit. It also has two huge covered front pockets that can each hold a box of shotgun shells or if you prefer, there are two rows of 7-shell capacity elastic shotgun shell loops in each pocket. Nice that they are in the covered pocket so these shells can’t fall out and get lost. The jacket also has a 3” x4” strap on the upper back to attach a hunting permit or anything you might need to put there.The jacket’s collar is also fleece so it should be comfortable walking all day.I would definitely buy this jacket again if I lost it or wore this one out. But I think it will outlast me!

Great jacket for upland hunting. Very durable and keeps me warm.

Wonderful jacket great in brush it pretty warm the only thing I don't like Is the ammo pockets are tight so pain to get ammo in and out

Couldn't be happier with how this coat has performed in cool weather and cold weather. I've worn it on slightly cool mornings early in the season and I've worn it late in January when temps are well below freezing. Light rain isn't an issue either, but it will get damp eventually, unless you put some water repellent on it. The fit is just right, it's big enough to wear a few layers underneath, but doesn't feel tight or too bulky to prevent you getting a good feel on shouldering a firearm. The pockets have held up well, especially the lower front two with shell holders sewed in. The chest pockets are great for carrying your phone and license. The bird pouch in the rear is spacious enough to hold few good sized roosters and a handful of quail all at once. It washes easily and I've had no problems with blood stains coming out. Lastly, it's just a comfortable fit that I can wear around all day hunting and never have a thought about it.

I had looked for this coat in this size for some time and was very happy to finally find it! The coat arrived promptly and in new condition! It is of excellent quality and fits me perfectly! I would definitely purchase this coat again from this seller!

All around great jacket fells good, but it is sized small my tee shirts and work jacket are xl so that is what I ordered. I could get it on, but no extra room. With where I live if I rabbit hunt later in year I can not fit a hoodie underneath. They charging me 10 to send back, but what I'm doing to go one size up. I recommend ordering one size bigger than you think.

The sizing could be SLIGHTLY off. I'm an XL and this fits a little snug. I might have wanted to go with 2x. HOWEVER, that could just be a lifetime of cheeseburgers too. It's well-designed, versatile and rugged. Worth every penny!
