So much fun and definitely worth the money I spent on it!

Arrived in just over a week from Hannover, Germany to Liverpool, UK. Well packaged and no damage done to the item.I've opted for a longer review as there aren't many detailed reviews of these cheaper Crokinole boards.Item itself is of a decent quality, considering an average Crokinole board will set you back £200+ and a quality board at least £300+ you have to take into account that these are not easy items to manufacture and the quality can vary greatly from board to board.This particular board is made of thin pieces of wood. Sturdy enough to get the job done and enable you to play the game, by no means a masterpiece and there are plenty of areas you can improve in.However, I've played several games on it with at least 7 other people and really once you get playing you aren't going to notice the quality. That is if you haven't played on a top tier board. If you have then you will see a huge difference at first (I've played on a tournament board so did notice) but again once you are invested in the game you aren't thinking about the quality too much. Over the games we played there were the many highs and lows that make this game great! No one was worried that there are boards out there of superior quality.I would recommend waxing the board and disks straight away. I used Bees Wax spray on wax as it doesn't have any added cleaners from what I can see which can sometimes damage a board. I added a few layers leaving 20 mins or so between applications. Just use a bit of disposable kitchen towel as it helps to buff it in and doesn't leave a lot of residual wax. It did make the disks slippy to touch but the glide on the board also improved. It also helped to smooth out the playing surface a lot after a few layers of wax/polish and it does make for a better experience.In summary, if you haven't played the game then I recommend trying this board out to get a feel for it, you may find that it is perfectly acceptable for you and just keep this board. If after trying, you have the cash to splash you can rely on Amazon's returns and then get a better quality board (I can assure you that you will see a difference).Personally, I'm the only one that notices a difference, and this board will enable me to play a great game with many people until I buy a better board out of necessity or saving. Again £80 or £300 is a big difference for what is essentially a game. So I'll be keeping it and will update if the state of the board seriously deteriorates quickly.

I was surprised to see a crokinole board so cheap - mine arrived today and now I see why.Very poor quality.The board itself is very thin, and already warped making an uneven surface.The surface of the board is further made uneven by the smears of glue that have been spilled on top of the varnish, leaving raised rough patches.The hexagonal rim to the board is just 8 pieces that have been slotted on around the edge, not glued, and constantly pop off (due to the warped board).The playing pieces are rough and lack the correct convex shape for minimised friction, so they will often stop dead or flip over when they hit the glue patches on the board.The print on the board is off-centre, making the aesthetic rather unpleasant.I really wish I had spent some more money on a more expensive board, unfortunately I was misled by the (questionably) positive reviews.

Received my board today. The package seemed to be intact but sadly when I got the board out it was already damaged. After feeling over with my hand it felt cold and slightly damp which is what I'm assuming caused the damage. Will be returning immediately

Excellent new game for the family especially in tournaments.

Great game and speedy delivery

Das Spiel hat eine gute Qualität und tolle Optik. Unterlage etwas dünn, aber ausreichend. Tasche opitmal für den Transport und ausreichend für die Lagerung. Spielsteine den Damenspielsteinen ähnlich und sehr gut gemacht.Ein wunderbares, kurzweiliges Spiel für Alt und Jung und bei unseren Gästen so sehr beliebt, dass einmal rausgeholt man sich damit stundenlang vergnügen kann. Anleitung nicht vorhanden(lässt sich aber im Internet finden).
