Q: How long are the screws? I'm going to use wall plugs that screw into the plaster.

Hi, I used my own screws and made sure I screwed into brick they were about 30mm long and hav not had a problem It does depend on how thick the plaster is, you should really drill into brick Hope this helps

Q: does the bracket really scratch the speaker or the anti vibe plates really work? cheers

No it has a clever locking system, the only way I could see that you could scratch the speaker is via miss handling. I haven’t hear any rattles from bracket. However, I use a pair as rear surrounds. I’m pleased with the brackets and I would say they are better that other brackets, I have use in the past for various home theatre builds.
