Assault on Precinct 13

It's a good movie, I was entertained and would watch it again.

Bought this for my son. We watched the movie together. The movie was brand new and still in cellophane. He and I enjoyed watching it together.

Albeit there are some great actors in this movie, I LOVE ROTTWEILERS and refuse to watch another movie which displays the Rottweiler as an attack dog in drug cartel or any other than trained K-9At the beginning, once again a movie is using a great dog, the Rottweiler as an aggressive vicious dog, They are NOT!! I have had 6 Rottweilers, most of them were therapeutic for children and clients.Ergo I turned the movie off in protest.

i have to say that this 1 got away from me @ the movie theater. i missed the chance to hear all the gun fire in true surround sound. i had to rent this when it came out. & when it did, i went to a local blockbuster & checked out for an all nighter for @ least 4 movies. this was the 1st choice. i had issues w/the dvd. took it back,got another & it had the same problem. it wasn't my player, it was the dvd. so, i bought it @ a good price w/amazon. & for the 1st time since it came out, i got to see in it's whole run time, w/out any issues. so, which brings to the dvd featuers. it's cool that they have what it is on a regular dvd. liked what was on it. i'll be watching this 1 when new years' eve, rolls around, back to back reindeer games.the story was very intersting. the fact that's a remake of 1 of my favorite directors. i really can't see the diffence between the 2. of course, i've only seen the orginal 1 time, it's probably a good time to rent it. i loved the cast as well. great performances from several actors new, & veterans, too. if you love a good shot 'em up, no holds barred movie. then pick this 1. i think it;s worth a shot. (pun intended)

As much as I love John Carpenter, his first film was a low budget affair that barely scraped by. No explanation was given as to why the psycho gang kept trying to kill the police, or why they didn't die from all the gunshots. This version actually has a story to back up all the action, and pulls it off surprisingly well. Lawrence Fishburne's character embodies the American gangster like no one else could. The reveal that cops are actually attacking them is one well conceived and well executed. The main leads are well cast, although you eventually want to scream, "don't do that" when they each meet their downfall. Overall, a fun action movie that is actually better than the original, and for a John Carpenter movie, that's saying a lot.

Funny how so many people become film-critics when they write these reviews. I liked this movie from beginning to end - for the second time. That is all I really expect from a movie - to be entertained and distracted. I have watched movies that got raves from critics and I felt they were a waste of my time and money. On the better side, how many movies have been ignored or trashed by critics, but were huge money makers? I would like to see a three star rating system. 3 - liked it; 2 - not great but ok. 1 - didn't like it.

Remake oui, mais très bon film. Servi en plus par des acteurs tous meilleurs les uns que les autres, beaucoup d'action à la clé, assez réaliste dans le suivi de chaque personnage, car tous ne s'en sortiront pas à la fin. Côté technique, ce BR possède une excellente image, il a le mérite d'exister car non sorti en France, il peut être apprécié soit en VO avec sous titres Français ou vrai VF (non québecoise), bref ce BR toutes régions a nombre de qualités.

je me suis fié aux commentaires de certains qui disaient , y'a une vfp ou une vfq , pour ma part je n'ai aucune vf que ce soit en vf parisienne ou bien en vfquébécoise , le blu ray que j'ai reçu est en version originale , le disque est région A . je peut le lire quand meme sur mon lecteur qui est lui region B donc uniquement en vo , pour résumer je n'aurait pas dû me fier aux commentaires pour l'audio , j'aurait dû prendre le dvd ,

c'est une version française québécoise contrairement au commentaire poste sur le site j'avoue être très déçu car ne supportant pas la VFQ possédant le dvd zone 2 Français j'ai vue la différence car je me suis fier a ce commentaire foireux le problème des commentaire sur votre site ne sont pas fiable du tout car la plupart des commentaire corresponde pas a l'article donc la pour le coup pas content du tout

Ethan Hawke !!!! attore che tutti abbiamo conosciuto ne 'l'attimo fuggente' ma, subito dopo a ricominciato a studiare come fanno tutti gli altri ragazzini. Poi ha frequentato uno dei migliori Actor Studi negli stati uniti - ha fatto moltissimo teatro ed e' divenuto quello che e' oggi. Uno dei grandi protagonisti del cinema contemporaneo. Ha scritto due libri (da uno dei quali ha fatto un film (regista e interprete)- Io lo amo moltissimo ed acquisto tutto quello che riesco a trovare.

Bel reboot non scontato dell'originale di Carpenter.
