I really love it!
I've put this on my new 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid, I keep it on the vehicle full time. It's light enough to remove when not needed but storing it is an issue in my case. Driving around town at 50 mph and under I see no difference in fuel economy. Highway driving I can't give very accurate results since my vehicle is new and don't have very much pre-installation history. I did a 250 mile trip at 70-85 mph with heave AC use and got 34 mph, regular 50 mile trips at 60-75 with light or no AC use gets nets me 38-40 mpg.I've read concerns about it being flimsy and it is, that's where the light weight comes from. But once installed it takes on the sturdy feel of the crossbars it's attached to. The attachment assembly is very easy to use and seems to stay in place without much adjustment. I will say over a month or so, I have been able to get 1/8th of a turn or so out of each knob but what I do like is at a glance you can see the status of the attachments under the crossbars and know for a fact you're safe. I'm a "remove all doubt" kind of guy so I tie my unit down to the crossbars with 1/4" black nylon rope in a box/criss cross pattern just for that extra peace of mind that it's not going to take flight at 80 mph. Also, My crossbars are rated at 220lbs and this unit is rated at 110lbs, I suspect because of how the attachment devices are positioned in slits in the bottom and the potential for them to cut loose of those slits if there's too much weight in the box. My thought is that my tie down rope removes that possibility because it's secured to the crossbars, and assisting the boxes attachments in keep it on the car. It's water proof, Ive driven through heave rains AND regular car washes, not a drop of water get's in. The lock is a little sticky, just get a little tube of graphite as Thule recommends and that will take care of that. The locking assembly is tricky but it gives you the feeling of security when it does lock, and it's only finicky when locking, not unlocking. Make note of your key number.... 2 Spare keys and a master key are available on Amazon for $10, The hinges beat back and forth against the box when underway and empty, it's only noticeable when you have a sunroof / moonroof open. It's easily corrected by placing some adhesive backed foam at the touch-points on the inside of the box. I'm a success focused kind of person and as long as the fundamentals are in line with my expectations, I'm more than happy to work out a few small kinks to get full satisfaction out of my product. Having been through two cargo racks and two rooftop cargo bags before finding what I really wanted on top of my car, I can tell you I really love this cargo box. Thanks Thule

Good for road trips
We went on a road trip to Colorado and this cargo box did the job. It was big and very spacious. Mounting it was super easy. No wrenches or tools required.Having one lock was great. My parents have a different brand and theirs has two latches. Having one latch is way more convenient. We stopped in a hotel for the night on the way and when we woke up everything was still there. My MPG did drop to 30 MPG from the 35 we usually get going 75 MPH.Overall this was a great box. Sleek and aerodynamic compared to all the other boxes we saw on the road in Colorado.

Awesome
Fits all of our cars. Easy set up and breakdown. Only negative is that at highway speed it’s a little loud but to be expected. Very well built and exactly what we needed.

Worth the cost, wouldn’t attempt anything less.
Thule is wicked expensive, but you really can’t beat the quality. It was really easy to install and adjust. No additional noise was noticed in the cabin. The back latches are a little difficult to reach, but a step ladder made this a non-issue for install. On the first trip, it weathered 2000 miles in temperatures from ranging from 65 degrees down to 10. Heavy snow and crosswinds didn’t deter this trusty cargo box. The locking mechanism worked great in all weather and temperatures. Really performed wonderfully in aspects. For storage we use a pulley system to store above the garage door. It’s just thin enough that it fits, while maximizing the storage capacity.

Awesome product but 1 right and 1 wrong key.
Awesome product, easy installation, just got 1 correct key and 1 wrong key. Hopefully they send the another correct key. After we take our road trip, I'll probably give an update on it. But we took it out on the interstate for a test run and no noise, only if I hit a bump, I hear a noise (it's empty). I would give the review a 5 too but 1 wrong key and 1 correct key.

Aerodynamic and plenty of room
Well built. Held at 75 mph. I did not notice any decrease in my gas mileage, perhaps because it sits back and does not hang over the windsheild in my case. Aerodynamically well thought out. 34" center to center was the max spacing between rails to mount. Anymore and the clamps start to pull off center and won't sit flat inside. Overall very pleased. Also bought the go pack luggage for ease of use. Overall, very satisfied with my purchase.

Easy to use and store.
This is great addition for long trips when my dogs are taking up space in my suv. We store in our garage using a kayak pully system

You pay for what you get.
I shopped everywhere for this thing, the price is the same no matter where you look, but amazon had free shipping. This thing is big, and comes in a huge box. Thule is the one you want, don’t get a cheaper, lower quality one. It attached to the roof of our Acadia perfectly. The clamps go on and it’s done. It holds a ton of stuff, and it’s waterproof, with a very nice lock and key. And it looks sharp. We bought it for a beach vacation, as our Acadia is running out of room on the inside with 3 kids. We drove it 2 hours to the beach, in the rain. I was nervous. But you would have never known it was on top of the car, and all of our stuff was 100% dry. This thing met all my expectations. If I had to name some negatives, I would say attaching and removing this thing from the car is a little tough because it only opens from the passenger side. You have to really get up on the roof to secure the clamps on the driver side. I just used a step ladder, it was pretty simple. It weighs about 30 pounds, so one person can move it, but it’s a little bulky.Thule is a more expensive brand, but sometimes it is worth it. This is an example of you pay for what you get. If you want 100% confidence with your stuff on top of your car driving 70mph down the highway, this is your roof top cargo box. Can’t say enough good things about it. It was a big purchase for us and we were not disappointed. Very satisfied and highly recommended.

About Thule
Thule was founded in 1942 by the Thulin family, when Eric Thulin, a true lover of the outdoors, put the Thule name on a pike trap he designed and began to sell in Scandinavia. It wasn't long before he added other practical items to the company's portfolio. By the 1960s, the company began to concentrate on car-related products, including its first roof rack. The Thulin family sold Thule to the publicly listed company Eldon in 1979, and it has continued to grow both organically and through acquisitions ever since. The Thule Group is a world leader in providing transport solutions for an active life.
