Spatter Cover

It’s small (8” in diameter) but it does the job of keeping my microwave interior clean.

I have had this same cover for years. It was time to replace it. The new one is well made and exactly like the old one.

I have noticed within recent times that what you see (and possibly order) is not always what you receive. And, I'm not about to keep something that I did not order, so I make it a point to return every single item that I receive that is not what is being portrayed on the seller's website. However, I was very pleasantly surprised to actually receive exactly what is being shown in this seller's ad. It is exactly what I wanted. The cover is thoughtfully designed with an area on top that allows you to firmly grasp the lid in order to pick it up and to hold it securely without it slipping out of your fingers, and the size is exactly what I wanted. This cover is light, and it is small -- perfect for small dishes or bowls that you wish to microwave. Love this cover, and I would definitely recommend.

This is a tad bit smaller than the one I had before so it doesn't quite cover some of the bowls I use to reheat leftovers. Other than that, It is sturdy, and works well to contain splatter.

Strong and sturdy

Cheap plastic with "thin frill" around the rim indicates it is cheaply made. It gets super hot if you are going to use it to heat food for more than a minute in 50% power or reheat mode. So, it is not safe despite the BPA-free factor. I bought it for the brand name. It did NOT live up to its brand or the supposed quality. It gets stained and pitted with the sauces (any liquid-based food) and it is impossible to get those stains out even with good dish soap and a plastic scrubber. This is not a one-size-fits-any-bowl. Food comes in contact with it if the bowl/plate you use is not that "perfect" fit. And the handle part on the top has to be on top, you cannot invert the cover because it will touch the food no matter how much little food you heat up. This cover also "sweats" a lot because the holes are too small and narrow, which means when you try to remove the cover, the water falls back into the food. A definite no-no. I had to return it. Wish someone makes a glass or ceramic cover for use in microwave. The only "glass" cover for microwave is very expensive and it has silicone, that is, again, temperamental to heat. I'm going back to using DAMP white paper towels as cover. Also, if you have those CORELLE plates, they work better than a whole bunch of plastic covers. Get one in every size possible, for use with any bowl or plate you will be using. You just need to prop up the Corelle plate in such a way that there is only a little gap between that and the bowl/plate you use to heat the food in.
