Seems to work great. No complaints
First time owning one after a long time of needing one. Seems to work great. No complaints. Has been in use for about a year now. Only once have I needed a stronger unit on the several applications I've put it through.

Read the instructions!
I love Craftsman products. My last torque wrench was a Craftsman and it finally bit the dust after 5 years(but it shouldn't have.) Nothing bad to say about this one, I recently removed both wheels off of my truck(with a breaker bar) and when I reinstalled my new torque wrench worked like a dream. The reason I say read the instructions is because I wore out my first one prematurely and now I know how to take good care of it.

Good quality
I will say up front that this only has 4 stars solely because it is not made in the USA. I have been very disappointed that Craftsman decided a while ago to offshore production of their tools. They were never the best tools money could buy, but they were by far, the very best tools you could get Made In The USA for the money. Because of their decision to offshore, when it came time for a torque wrench for my traveling tool kit, I looked at everything other than Craftsman. The other USA brands were more than I wanted to pay for this application. I gave Tekton a shot because I've bought a few of their tools in the past that were decent. It turns out this is not the case with a torque wrench. The Tekton was terrible. It also looked as though it was the same or similar to most of the other imports. That lead me to this Craftsman. Yes, it is made in China. It appeared though, that the design is the same, or very close to the same, as my USA made Craftsman. As suspected, even though iris no longer made in the USA, the design and operation is the same as my old Craftsman. As long as Craftsman is not made in the USA I will ship other brands. In the end though, in at least some cases, they still make better tools than the cheaper import brands.

Absolutely Pitiful.............
The first red flag was that the torque wrench did not have documented proof that it had been tested and met minimum standards. The handle was loose out of the box. I was able to put on the handle back on and tighten it down only to figure out that the ratchet that was not working correctly. I was expecting to be able to use this right out of the box and thus far I have not been able to get the ratchet working correctly. Complete waste of my money.

Built to last!
This Craftsman 1/2" drive torque wrench is easy to adjust and build to last many years of use. I have an existing Craftman torque wrench that I purchased back in the 80's stills work as it's new. I use this torque mainly for tightening wheel lug nuts. Can't go wrong with Craftsman brand tools.

Boyfriend Loves It!
My boyfriend has been wanted one of these for years. I finally splurged and got him the good one. Bonus to me is now he swaps my studded tires and off as needed in the winter! He loves it -says its a great high quality, craftsman tool. And my tires are ALWAYS perfectly balanced when he's done.

Good quality. Exactly what our Mechanic wanted.
Good quality. Exactly what our Mechanic wanted. We have an application where applying the correct torque is critical. We (he) broke a different brand of torque wrench that I had purchased for him. He then asked for a Craftsman. I bought one and we have not had any more problems.
