Q: Can anyone tell me what is the difference between this and botanicare cns17 grow 3-1-2?

the difference is the complete line that you have to run, cns is their new revised formula so you don't have to add calmag when working in like coco, this is an advantage when trying to really push your lines. However I don't really care too much so I just used their base grow/bloom

Q: why is pure blend considerd organic and synthetic?

Im no scientist but i believe to get certain trace minerals into a ready form for the plant the have them in metals. The metals dont allow the trace element to oxidize so fast in the form its in. The trace element in a more stable form takes longer to break down and isnt readily available. The package says organic certified except in California. And states California only. California is the most fickled state ever. If you are concerned about metals and you plan to eat fruits and veggies. Or smoke flower. Two to three weeks before harvest give water only no fertilser. Stored correctly it is 3+ years. Once opened use the contents within 12 months
