It works great and the newer 3d embossing folders fit into it perfectly.The thicker 3d embossing folders are harder to crank thru but the regular embossing folders are a lot easier.

I hesitated to buy this, since I already have a BigShot that does both die cuts and embossing. But I wanted something light weight to take with me and this fit the bill. I took it with me to a babysitting job (ages 4 and 9) with the intention of letting the girls use it for a craft and then working on my own projects after they went to bed. It kept them occupied for over an hour! I'm pretty sure they would have kept going but it was bedtime. LOL! I'll be taking this and my scrap card stock with me from now on. I also bought one for my mom and she loves hers. Plus, she had similar results with her granddaughters enjoying it when they came over. Glad I bought it!

I love this machine to emboss my paper for my Card making. It gives your arm a work out but not enough that anyone could not turn the crank. It turns smoothly and the paper comes out nice and crisp. The only downfall I can see is the size, it fits most of my projects but sometimes you just need a little bigger project.

I am very impressed with this little machine. Some previous reviews said the handle is hard to turn etc. Absolutely not true- the handle is quite easy to turn and the machine easy to operate as long as you are working on a flat surface. It doesn’t come with folders so you have to buy those in advance. Plenty of great options from Joanne’s or Michaels for cheap and Amazon for a dollar or two more. I’ve included a few pics of the first sample papers I embossed. Very exited to use this for card making projects! Also the machine. Is smaller than I expected so should fit in small spaces easily. Highly recommend!

New to embossing and wasn't sure which folders to buy to go along with this machine. I ended up buying the 12 piece plastic embossing folders here from Amazon. These were shown as ones others had purchased along with the Sizzix Texture Machine so I figured they would work. I first tried using the folders and machine together with Kraft cardstock. I couldn't even get it to feed through the machine. I tried different folders as I read some reviews that said some work and some don't. I watched several YouTube videos for tips and even had these ready to return to Amazon and was going to order the 8 piece set that reviews said DO work with this machine. I couldn't figure out what the differences are other than 4 more folders. I decided to try plain white cardstock which is thinner that the Kraft cardstock. It worked beautifully! The machine DOES NOT crank as easily as is shown on videos but it DOES feed the folder through and emboss as promised. There is a bit of crackling sound that makes you think the plastic is breaking but neither the folder nor the machine break. I noticed that some folders feed easier than others, depending on the detail of the folder. Some of them stopped about halfway through and need a bit more coaxing than others. You DO need to stand up and hold one hand applying pressure on the handle to get it to feed well. The crank may hang up a bit as well and need to be coaxed along. I think with more use it will loosen up some and be easier to work. All in all this is going to be a terrific addition to my card making addiction! Do not hesitate to buy this machine. This is a great product for the price. I have a Cuddlebug as well and I find this easier to use. The “sandwich” on the cuddlebug is harder to get just right. You can find embossing folders at Joanns on sale. The only thing it doesn’t do that the Cuddlebug does is die cuts. If you want something quick and light weight just for embossing this is great. Since it is light weight you do have to press down harder to get it to go through the machine. For as often as most people use these I think this is a great deal :)

Came in perfect state, you gotta do lot of strength with your hand to roll it but it does what is supposed to do correctly

I wanted an embosser for my card making. Most that I looked at were also die cutters, which I did not need. This was exactly what I needed and the price was reasonable. It’s small and portable. My only caveat is that you have to buy the embossing folders separately. It does not come with any. Also, you can only emboss something that is smaller than 5 inches by 5 inches, which may limit you with some of your projects.
