Best to have a lot of nib units for various writing tasks.
Pilot makes the best nibs. I bought these replacement nib units for my Vanishing Point instead of having to buy multiple pens. I have three nib units and the matte black Vanishing Point pen body. This is my favorite workhorse pen.

It’s pilot!
Purchased this nib to complete my collection of nibs. I have the broad nib( lays down a lot of ink) then medium( nice writing) and now the broad, which after a brief break in writes smooth and steady if your angle is 45 degrees it will not perform as expected. Almost need to be parallel slightly. Otherwise great nib. Wouldn’t consider it a daily writer. But for intermittent penning it’s beautiful.

Item arrived ... without its nib!
I'd ordered a 1.1mm stub nib (which comes with a Con-40 converter), but ... **no nib was in the package! ** Just the converter. Very annoying! So: I'm returning it.

Dry writer -- and noisy, too
My stub nib had the same problem that many others have reported: it was a dry writer, scratchy and noisy, and not satisfying. Additionally, calling this a 1.1mm stub is an exaggeration, as even its vertical stroke was noticeably thinner than the lines made by my VP broad nib.Examining the nib through a loupe revealed the problem: at the tip, the tines were touching -- no gap between them. This restricts ink flow. Not a great nib, at least out-of-the-box.I returned it.

Add Flair Too Your Writing With This Stub Nib!
I have had the Vanishing Point for about three years and I stopped using it as the broad nib was just too much for me. I began to use the Lamy Safari with the 1.1mm nib. Perfect! So after about a year of use I decided to buy this 1.0 mm nib. Now, this is my everyday take along pen. Quick to use just like a ball point pen - but with the flair of a sub nib. It greatly impoves my handwriting!

Love it!
I switched out the fine nib my Decimo came with fir this stub. It writes beautifully and has become part of my EDC. Highly recommended.

Fantastic nib!
This is an awesome upgrade. If you haven’t tried a stub nib…you should! Very smooth writer.

Pilot VP Stub Nib
I can't get it to write and not be super scratchy, skipping, and just not performing at all. Maybe I caught a bad one somehow and some of the others sold here on this only listing are better. The price is heavily discounted also for some reason.
