no more sore hands!!
Without this I would never be able to mix such wonderful clay combinations - I use this to add foil flakes after I have mixed the colors. Coupled with the Makins pasta machine - you are all set. Use the Makins clay machine with this as it is 2 inches wider than most of the others. I love the speed choices - well thought out will work with many machines!! LOVE IT LOVE IT

Great item for conditioning polymer clay
I dont know why I didn't get this sooner!!! This motor is wonderful for use with the Makins clay pasta machine. Saves lots of hand work and I can condition my clay much faster. The two different speeds are a plus. Love it and I plan on getting alot of use out of it.

So far I like it very much I'm a little concerned about the way it hangs off side but it has taken conditioning down to minutes thank you

Makin's motor is great
The motor is designed for the Makin's Pasta Machine, and attaches easily. I use Kato clay, and even though it is stiffer than the Makin's products are intended for, when i condition the clay well the motor handles the clay with ease.

Wobbles around on Makin's pasta machine
This motor is a help and I'm somewhat glad to have it, but it also irritates me. It almost requires that you leave on the metal side covering of the Makin’s pasta (clay) roller because it has two little pins that fit into it to hold the motor in place. I tried it without the metal side and it works OK (not great) with the help of 3 clamps. Leaving the metal side on means a third screw to remove when cleaning. As an aside, I prefer to leave off the 3 extraneous metal coverings of my Makin’s pasta (clay) roller so I can quickly take it apart and clean it. (See photo.) If you don't take it apart, you can't totally remove the extra clay that very quickly accumulates in the scrapers which then contaminates the next clay you run through it. Baby wipes and bamboo skewers don't get inside the scrapers well enough. I like Makin's pasta machine because of the Teflon rollers, but they need to give you instructions on how to take it apart to clean, instead of warning you against it. It's not that difficult. When you attach the motor, it hangs in mid-air, solely attached to the pasta machine, and it wobbles up and down as it rotates, grinding off its black rubber gasket. I wish they'd design the motor so it sits on the same flat surface as the pasta machine and doesn't move around and make so much noise.I don't know if this motor would work with another brand of pasta machine without some jury-rigging. I'd do more shopping before buying it again.

Works great
Using it for a couple month now, and works great. Makes working with polymer clay so much easier. My shoulders say thank you! 😄

Works but the warranty is a disappointment.
Works as advertised, although the motor wobbles a bit on the thin casing of the clay machine when you run clay through it. I really think ithe pins are going to wear/pull off when lots of use. Giving it only two stars because the thing only comes with a 60 day warranty. 60 days...? Makes me think they don't have much confidence in it holding up and this thing was not cheap. For what I paid for it seems like a longer warranty would be in order. Had I known this when I bought it I would have opted for the Amazon replacment warranty.
