Powerful and Reliable Weapon Light
The SureFire M640DF Scout PRO is an exceptional weapon light, offering incredible brightness and durability. With 1500 lumens, it provides outstanding illumination for both close-quarters and extended-range use. The dual-fuel capability is a huge plus, allowing flexibility with rechargeable and disposable batteries. The mounting system is solid and versatile, making it easy to attach and adjust for optimal placement on my firearm. It’s built tough, as expected from SureFire, and handles recoil without any issues. Definitely worth the investment for anyone serious about tactical gear or personal defense.

Good. Overkill for a white light.
Great light. This and a remote are 2x-3x the cost of other reputable options, but lets be honest -ypure buying Surefire to show off on Instagram. Streamlight is more than enough for your duty or personal weapon. Surefire will get you the street cred you crave when flexing on the gram.

Bright and well-made
Looks like the real deal. Feels well made, super bright. The new mounting hardware is nice if you have an m-lok rail. Got with a tape switch which works well. Very expensive for a flashlight, but it’s not like I didn’t know that

Don't get this for use with a Surefire tape switch
Will causing low output and flickering if used in conjunction with any of the tape switches offered by surefire. This is a known issue and the engineers are still working on a solution... Really unsure how this product got to market without being tested with the accessories they recommend with it... SR07 tailcap is what I used and found the flickering. I got this model so I wouldn't have to buy extra mounts also (all in one package) but I sorta regret not getting the other normal model to go with the Arisaka mounts. Thought I researched this stuff enough to know what I was getting into but do you research before you buy.

Blinding! I don’t regret the extra cost!
I bought a new AR15. So I knew it needed a weapon light. I went back and forth between the Surefire and the Streamlight Protac HL-X. Yes the HL-X is literally less than half the Surefire. But what sold me was first the Surefire warranty. Buy one FOR LIFE. They will update it to a new version if you have issues 5, 10 years from now. Whenever. Second, you aren’t going to get a smaller weapon light that clears the rail. It’s hardly noticeable. The Streamlight is amazing but it’s still bigger. And last. This sucker is BRIGHT! At 1500 Lumens. I think if something goes bump in the night. This would give you a sheer heart attack flashed into your face. So here’s my final point. Surefire is expensive because they are worth it. Stop going back and forth like I did. I promise you once you get it installed you won’t be disappointed!

Great rifle light
The light is fantastic pricey but if you happen to find it at a reduced cost around Black Friday or something I wouldn’t hesitate doesn’t have the laser like focus of the okw head but will definitely do what you need it to do

It dims after cycling the rifle when using CR123 batteries. REFUND TAKES ALMOST A MONTH
The light output dims significantly every time I cycle the bolt when I’m using the disposable CR123 but it’s ok with the included rechargable one. I have to turn the surefire off and on to return it to normal brightness. The light pattern is very wide compared to my streamlight (650 lumen I think). The light output is almost same as streamlight. Maybe a bit dimmer because of the lack of center hotspot. But I guess that pattern works great inside a house. The build quality is superb. The swiveling mount is actually more secure than i expected. Very solid by just tightening with a flathead screw driver. Might end up returning and get a regular battery-fed surefire. UPDATE: I put a small (bolt) nut about 3 mm thick between the flashlight head and CR123 and it solved the issue of dimming after racking the rifle. The Streamlight CR123 is 2mm shorter than the rechargeable surefire battery, that’s why it looses/compromise the contact points. Surefire needs to make the spring longer and stronger Update: the 2nd one I ordered has the same problem and fix. I decided to return the second 640DF and just get the Arisaka with OKW head for same price. 10/21/2022 Amazon return for these 2 lights are terrible. I had to file Credit card dispute after 2 weeks of no updates of them receiving my first return. The 2nd defective light with same problem is still not refunded. My account says refunded 10 days ago, but still not in my account!!!DON'T BUY THIS SUREFIRE FROM AMAZON AND AND RETURN IT IF THE LIGHT OUTPUTS GOES DOWN WITH THE RACKING OF YOUR RIFLE USING CR123 BATTERIES.
