PILOT Precise V5 RT Extra-Fine Premium Retractable Rolling Ball Pens, 0.5mm, Assorted Colors, 8 Count (11890)

I compared this set of pens to my own set of BIC Gelocity pens for comparison. In short: Pilot pens are better with the exception of the yellow pen (image below). The pink has comparable saturation, which is good. I actually like the light green better in Pilot compared to Gelocity; it was a less saturated color that's a bit darker, which is better for readability. The light blue and purple don't quite compare to the Gelocity ones. The shade isn't the same, and I think I would've liked the light blue better if it was just a smidge darker or more saturated. I think Pilot's purple is a winner, though. Gelocity is a bit too dark. Pilot wins in orange, too. The Gelocity option has too much yellow which makes it hard to read. Another pleasant surprise was the black pen. I compared it to my favorite pen, and surprisingly, I think the Pilot pen has darker ink! Mine is more of a grey-black where Pilot's is a true black. I bought this set mostly for the colored pens, but I'm going to get a lot of mileage out of the black pen which I did not expect.Really, the only downside is the yellow pen. I'm really not sure where you'd use it. It's just going to collect dust, for me, so I really wish they'd put in a different color entirely. A navy blue, teal, grey... almost anything besides yellow would've been a better choice.Compared to the gel pens, these pens also don't seem to bleed through the paper nearly so badly. The ink doesn't "pool" that much when you press down and hold, which I consider a plus.

Oh, man. I love these things. Retractable Pilot Precise V5?! Whaaaat?! In all these colors?! Get out! Seriously, there is no better pack of pens on the market. I'd walk a mile to use one of these instead of a Bic.

I L💜VE these pens! The fine tip make writing enjoyable and IMO much more legible.

The needle points on these pens make writing small, much easier. Colors are great. Perfect for color coding.

I LOVE these pens. They are smooth to write with and the ink dries quickly. I really like that they come in a variety of colors.

love these pens bought more in diff colors last long very good quality and not a bad price havent had any issues with smearing either the flow of the pen is nice
