Great little chess clock, good features.
I'm very happy with this clock/timer.It is easy to change the time duration. Currently we are using 20 minutes and the clock remembers the previous duration when you restart it. I like that you can Pause the timer, when your kids are screaming for attention..... "Xylus stay out of the freezer, no more ice cream!"Very happy with the DGT1001 chess clock.

A Basic Clock that Does What it Promises.
This clock functions for what is designed and is, as advertised. Therefore, the five stars. It is bare bones, and not substantially built with heavy duty materials but, totally functional as a basic clock for beginners and elementary school chess clubs to get them used to using a clock. I bought several for this purpose. The clock does have a few different modes in which it can be set listed on the bottom.For my own use, After reading reviews on this clock, I purchased a different, slightly more expensive clock with more options.

My 12 year old son plays Chess at his Chess club they have clocks but at school where he is in the Chess Club they dont have clocks so I decided to purchase this one for him so he can take it to school.....

Good, inexpensive, basic and best chess clock
These are good chess clocks. Very simple and basic functions and very good for young kids. I ordered these for my school chess club. They are perfect for the young kids. Inexpensive, easy to use and very effective to give kids experience of professional game. Love these chess clocks. I highly recommend these to anyone.

Terrible design! Hard to read numbers from side angle which is where chess players are.
Astoundingly bad design. Why make a product like this with an LCD screen that is not viewable from the side angle when that is where players sit when playing chess.
