The other Darkhorse in the Hi-Fi space...
These speakers are crazy good considering the dual 5.25 inch woofers. I own both the Definitive Technology Demand D17 and the Monitor Audio Bronze 500. The D15’s are the little brother to the D17’s, and the sound quality is just as impressive. These D15's can dig down in the 30's with the help of dual 8" passive woofers & the bass is tight and clean. The bass is actually tighter on the D15 then both the D17 and the MA Bronze 500 imho. Dialog and overall body of sound has more weight on the D17, but the D15 is very close behind. All 3 speakers have crystal clear transparent sound quality. The dialog is very legible and top notch on both Definitive Tech speakers, but the MA Bronze dialog is recessed and overshadowed by the deep chest pounding bass. Soundstage is wide with some depth with no coloration at all. Treble is clean with detail, not harsh, but doesn't have the texture and smoothness like the MA Bronze, but still smooth nonetheless. With the speakers in the correct left and right orientation, the treble can be 3D like depending on the source and distance. Drums, snares, guitar, piano and other acoustic instruments are all brought forth with the clean and straightforward sound, that's lush, smooth and easy to listen to, but can have some serious bass thumping impact when called for… These sound great with whatever you throw at them, Movies and Music alike. I would take these over the Monitor Audio Bronze 500 any day, due to a balanced sound quality from top to bottom, better midrange response, along with a sturdier cabinet and a robust crossover that's over twice the size and better components of MA Bronze 500 Xover...

Brilliant speakers!
These do everything that I want and more. My jazz albums sound superb in an untreated room with these. I was able to get both a left and right speaker for $3000! Money very well spent. My wife loves them as well. She thinks they are quite beautiful when the grills are on. The gloss finish was expertly done.
