Wicked Witch - the Wizard of Oz - Fun Pack - Lego Dimensions

If you're interested in purchasing any add-on content for your LEGO Dimensions, I would strongly recommend the Wicked Witch if you're a fan of the Wizard of Oz. While some Oz fans might be disappointed that Dorothy and the rest of the gang aren't playable as of the announced waves, she is currently the only way to unlock the Wizard of Oz free roam world - and it is great. You can go to Munchkin Land, the Emerald City, the Witch's castle, and even Kansas. It's a great world to roam around in and do missions or collect some studs.This fun pack is also currently the only way to acquire the Wicked Witch minifigure. The figure itself has good detailing on the chest piece, and I like the green head and hands as well.The winged monkey isn't the best vehicle in the world, and it can't even fly unless you upgrade it to its other 2 forms in-game (Battle Monkey and Commander Monkey). That being said, it is quite hilarious looking when it moves in-game and it can be upgraded to have a skin that matches the traditional flying monkey a bit more.This pack is a lot of fun, and even if you don't like the wicked witch, you may still want to pick her up just for the Wizard of Oz adventure world.

Pricey for what it was, but needed for project.

The Wicked Witch Fun Pack was purchased for the abilities she can do in the LEGO Dimensions game. First, there's the flying. It is generally a lot easier to get around the worlds when you can fly. Sure, there are flying vehicles, but since the witch has her broom, she can take off in the air without having a vehicle nearby -- or even on the LEGO Dimensions board!She can also blow up silver LEGO blocks, so we no longer needed to place Homer Simpson's Taunt-o-vision on the Toy Pad. Magic and illuminating dark areas of the game are more skills she processes, so no need for Gandalf much anymore either. Something we really needed her for, along with flying, was mind control! The game offers to let us hire a hero (Wonder Woman usually) during play, but now we have the ability within the Wicked Witch.Several abilities are combined into a single character with the purchase of the Wicked Witch Fun Pack, not to mention you get a Flying Monkey to use too! I highly recommend this as one of your first LEGO Dimensions purchases!

This is one of my favorite Lego Dimension extension packs. All components thus far have worked correctly, and the building instructions were clear and precise. While I would promote this product to anybody who likes both 1) The Wizard of Oz, and 2) Lego Dimensions, this product is not for everybody. I would like to discuss the Pros and Cons of this product, however keep in mind that this is my opinion, and that I am indeed biased.Wicked Witch:I believe that Lego has done an excellent job at recreating the Wicked Witch from the Wizard of Oz. The voice actor sounds much like the original, despite many of her lines being “cartoonish”. Her abilities range extensively, including flight, illumination, force-field generation, telekinesis, mind control, and explosive energy blasts. I have personally found that her ability to fly is the most useful, as it allows for quick and easy travel throughout the free-roam worlds. However, the Wicked Witch isn’t perfect. The combination of her abilities makes Gandalf a near obsolete character, which may frustrate some people as Gandalf was designed to hold an essential role within the series. In simple terms, anything that Gandalf can do, the Wicked Witch can do better. For example; The Wicked Witch can walk much faster than Gandalf when generating a forcefield, and the Wicked Witch can also fire much more powerful “magic” blasts. Gandalf also lacks the ability to fly and control minds. Many may see this as an advantage to the character, however, there is a downside; the Wicked With is vulnerable to water, and melts when she encounters it. While this remains true to her character, this attribute makes it difficult when teaming with characters such as Aquaman.Flying Monkey:After much upgrading, the flying monkey may become useful, but It is one of my least favorite “vehicles” offered in any Lego Dimensions extension packs. It cannot fly until it is in the final upgrade stage, and it produces a very annoying clanking sound when it is ridden. I am not a fan of the monkey, however some of its upgraded abilities may prove useful throughout the game.

There were no directions on how to put the monkey together. I’m not much of a lego person so it was sort of a pain. Doesn’t really look like a Wizard of Oz monkey.

Do yourself a favor and BUY the Wicked Witch today. Once you buy here you will never play Gandalf again because WW will do everything Gandalf can do AND MORE.WW gives you Magic and Illumination (like Gandalf) but also FLIGHT, MIND CONTROL, and Silver Lego Blowup. THat's a powerful combo of skills.You also get her WInged Monkey (vehicle) but we rarely use him because there's not much special about him.The WW though is a character that is almost always on our toy pad - she is extremely valuable.PLUS - you need the WW in order to get to the Oz Adventure World (WW and Winged Monkey are currently the only Oz characters in the game and you need one of them to get into the Oz world so that makes WW a MUST buy)
