Woodstock Live: 50 Years

Highly, highly recommend this book. I was at Woodstock. My memory of much of the event have been lost to time. This book has all the acts, the time they were on stage, the set list, the members of the band, and interesting behind the scenes tidbits about the band. I love it.

A cool look back at a seminal event in the history of rock. This is a birthday gift for a good friend and I think he will enjoy it.

No real information or story. It was just mostly pictures with a few shorts facts. I was expecting some more information about the event and the artists point of view.

I saw this book in Florida when visiting my daughter. Got it a lot cheaper through Amazon! The music of Woodstock made a great impression upon me when it was released, but the albums didn't give enough detail, or offer full sets. Now you can get pretty well all the music from Woodstock, and this book is the essential guide to those performances. In appearance order, with stories and anecdotes, the combination of the music and the book is probably better than it was to be there, unless you prioritise atmosphere over enjoyment. I wholeheartedly recommend "50 Years".

Basic. Doesn't offer much more than what we already knew. A few decent pictures.
