I purchased this replacement filter set for my Coway Airmega 400/400S, and I am extremely impressed with the quality. Perfect for in air mega 400. Appears FUNCTIONALLY identical to OEM

I'll mirror this from one of my other Coway aftermarket filter reviews. I don't have a particle meter, or the necessary equipment to measure the difference. That being said, you can clearly see these aftermarket filters get packed when looking at a fresh one vs a very tired one at the sun. The carbon filtration works as well. As we all know the OEM Coway filters are very expensive, so I took a gamble with these. I made that realization that #1: They're probably the same factory anyway #2: Replacing with these cheap ones at the correct intervals is way better than not wanting to fork up the money for the OEM ones and letting them go too long. I am happy with them, and in my opinion function 1:1.

Got these as an alternative to the factory ones since they are much cheaper. So far they seem just as good. Not really sure how to tell how long they will last and actually filter but that's true with any. No odd smells or anything in ours like some others reported.

I see no difference from the more expensive ones direct from the company - except cost a lot less.

I really like my hepa air cleaner, but like anything that can help you be healthier, that comes at a sometime higher price. I bought these through the clearance side of Amazon so I guess I shouldn't necessarily expect these to be brand new, never used. 2 of the 4pk were opened & just placed inside a clear wrapper, the other 2 are sealed & appear to be factory fresh. I can't say positively that 1 or both of the opened filters were used, they did not have a brand new appearance to them, but I got a pretty good price for this set of 4. I've been needing to clean or replace the current set, as we've had a horrible, HOT & super dry summer so I cleaned up the system, cleaned the initial mesh pre-filter & threw in the "open" filters. Seem to work well, just not sure that these weren't already used by a prior customer.

I've been dealing with poor air quality in my area for months, and honestly wasn't sure if replacing the filter would make much difference. Boy was I wrong! Within literally 30 minutes of installing this new filter in my Coway AIRMEGA Max2 400S, I watched my PM2.5 readings plummet from hazardous levels (over 100) down to the 20s. The difference was so dramatic I actually thought my air quality monitor was malfunctioning at first. Nope - this filter just works that well! The old filter was clearly at the end of its life, but I hadn't realized how much the air quality had gradually degraded until I saw the immediate improvement. Installation was straightforward - just like the original. The build quality feels solid and it fits perfectly. No weird smells or off-gassing like I've experienced with some third-party filters.
