This book is a must read for all educators!!
I devoured this book in three days and it is covered in highlights and sticky notes. Everything the authors discuss is current, relevant, and essential for today's classrooms. As a special education teacher, I have been familiar with and utilizing UDL for quite some time, and the lens of equity that the authors look through to discuss this topic is phenomenal. I have already purchased it for a colleague and have been telling everyone I know to read this book.

Essential and empowering guide for ALL educators to design for ALL learners to thrive and succeed!
This book is an essential guide for designing and implementing culturally responsive and equitable learning experiences. Packed with explicit strategies and examples, the authors masterfully weave research as well as the voices of educators/students practicing Universally Designed social justice. Are you new to UDL and/or social justice? Are you already an expert? Either way, you will walk away with fresh ideas and a new lens for being an architect in designing learning where ALL thrive and have the opportunity to succeed. This content is extremely relevant and needed now, especially now when we are at a crossroads in education. I highly recommend this book and urge all educators to read it!

Good with some recommendations
Purchased this for a course. Solid information. I do wish there were more visuals/images and charts to help get certain points across. It would be worth it for the author to include a QR code with links to all the additional resources, as this is a feature that love that I wish was more easily accessible!

Critical reading for instructional leaders!
Critical reading for instructional leaders who are committed to instructional design that is grounded in equity. Having learned quite a bit about Universal Design already, this has been key to continuing that work, but even an Universal Design novice needs to read this book! The many examples and concrete strategies are key to my five star review!

Dynamic and Impactful!
This handbook lays out effective ways to authentically engage school communities around issues of social justice, culturally responsive personalized learning, and restorative practices through an equity lens. As an elementary principal, I found Equity by Design extremely impactful in moving the work forward and building stable, intentional learning communities.

Spot on!
There are more and more books on this topic but because the authors share and have different experiences and because they do it from the education perspective its a very good read.
