One of the easiest and best ways to make an apartment, room or house feel like your home is to hang things up on the wall. Art, pictures, accessories, decor items and wall coverings all go a long way in stylizing and personalizing blank and boring walls. But when you’re a renter, you might not be allowed to do all of that. With Command picture hanging strips, you can finally hang pictures without creating unsightly holes, cracks and glue marks on the wall. What’s more? These picture hanging strips gives you unlimited design options. They work by having two interlocking strips which snap together. Unlike the hooks, they are designed specifically for hanging frames. Command medium picture hanging strips hold most 18 inch x 24 inch frames. That’s pretty damn heavy. Can also be used for other items like wall clocks, etc. and is safe for surfaces like walls, tiles, glass, mirrors and more.

I used this from 15th May 2018 and today is ...
I used this from 15th May 2018 and today is 27th July 2018 and it my frame fell down. It was not glass frame and so was saved from breaking of glass but the frame got slightly damaged. I can say, please do not use this if you have glass in your photo frame. Also, this was supposed to hold 5.4 kg and upto 18" by 24" and my frame size was 17 by 21" and with total weight between 0.5 and 0.75 kg. Yet it fell down. The product comes without warranty and so you have to use with caution. Also it is not completely clean, the gum stays on wall (for me it was wooden temple) I have to buy new and perhaps change every 2 months as do not want to use nails for wooden backdrop. Writing this review so that others can benefit from this.

Negative rating if possible
Disgusting product. Says can handle upto 5.3 kgs. All 4 strips together could not even handle 1/5 of that less than 1 kg picture frame. Fell within a wee. Broke the glass. Lost money on these strips that could have been done with a 2 Rs. nail and lost my picture frame. Extremely bad and they say the return window has expired. I am not even sure about the authenticity of the product. Such bad experience.

Didnt stick on to the wall
Lost Rs 250 in jiffy. This didnt stick on to the wall even after i applied rubbing alcohol as it is mentioned and I followed every procedure mentioned.Totally not worthy. No warrenty is the painful part. Imported product if it was made in india it would be cheap.

Wonderful, useful
Its perfect. I stuck a framed poster on the wall. But the only problem is that u have to make the back side of the frame/photo flat so that it sticks. For that u have to remove the hooks on the frame/poster

Worst product , My wall clock broken due to bad adhessive quality of this item.
The product is worst . Due to this my beautiful clock presented by my friends on my retairment day was falllen down and broken. The adehesiveness of the item is very bad, it is not able to hold even less than half KG wall clock.Even if this item is returned, the wall clock no one can bring back.No less than zero rating, I had to give atleast 1 for this.

Sticker came out along with wallpaint while trying to remove the picture
Tried to install a photo frame using this. Though 3M recommends using the small picture hanging strip for the picture I wanted to hang, I used these strips to install them. It stuck on the wall. When I tried to remove the picture from wall for 1 hour sticker to wall adhesion time, it didn't come off so easily as shown in the Command site videos.. When I took it off , the sticker came off along with the wall paint.

Brilliant
Want to hang pictures up without making loads of holes in the walls? If so then these are probably for you.I started using these three years ago and now have around 50 frames of various sizes around the house. The majority are frames for 6x4" photos and I use a single pair of medium strips for these.I see some people have had issues and I can only think they're not using them correctly, so this is what works for me...Make sure the surfaces you are sticking the strips to are clean and dry. I always do this and have never had any issues.I stick a pair of 3M velcro type strips together, remove the backing from one strip and then stick that side to the back of a photo frame. Press it tightly against the frame for at least 30 seconds to ensure a good bond. Then, peel the backing off the other strip and using whatever level you have, place the frame against the wall and try to apply pressure through the frame onto the wall where the strips are positioned for at least 30 seconds. The brilliant thing is, if you've managed to put a frame up a bit wonky, carefully prise apart the strip on the wall from the strip on the frame and try again.I've added a rather poorly taken low resolution image of Lillyvale frames I bought from Amazon that have thick enough borders on the rear to work well with these strips.

Hole free hanging some right!
These work really well. Just be sure to use enough to cope with the weight of the picture you’re hanging. And be mindful when removing them as pulling them straight off the wall when done will pull off lose paint if not done properly

Easy to use
An easy way to hang up frames. It is safe and reliable even when holding heavy fames. The concept is clever and works perfectly. I recommend letting it stick to the wall for 24hrs before putting the frame on. This ensures it stays secure.

Removed painet from wall
After sticking the frame to wall, as per instruction, remove frame and press the stick to the wall, BUT when I remove the frame, it removed both part of stick and also part of the paint from wall.I tried it again but it doesn't stick to frame anymore!!DO NOT BUY AGAIN!

I swear these could hold a small child.
I swear by Command Strips in rental and for temporary hangings. These things seem to be capable of holding anything. We've got them holding up whiteboards, a Dyson cordless vacuum, all sorts of things really. As long as you give them a chance to adhere and clean the surface before-hand, you should be able to mount all sorts of things on these without any problems!

Picture fell down and smashed
Hung up one of my favourite pieces of art work. I didn't want to ruin the wall so I purchased these pads, but at 4am in the morning a colossal crash occurred, leading me to believe there was a burglar in house. However no, it was the picture falling off the wall and smashing on the floor.

Easy to use
Have never tried these before, but as I'm renting I don't want to risk knackering the walls. I used these to hang a notice board which I pin necklaces to.The strips were really easy to use, and there are even YouTube tutorials if you're unsure. The only down side (which isn't the fault of the product) is that I put the board up wonkily (only realised when I put the necklaces back on and they didn't hang straight!) so I couldn't reposition the strips without taking them off and having to use another set. However, I straightened the notice board and even though it doesn't perfectly align with the strips on the wall it is still attached firmly after over a month.

easy to use and do the job well
Arrived really quickly. My Aunt uses these all of the time to hang family pictures in glass frames and they never fall down, so I ordered a few for myself.I wanted to hang a large light weight collage (no glass) frame that I was given as a present on the inside of my wardrobe door so I could see it all of the time & the pictures wouldn't fade over time. There were 8 pieces in a pack, you need 2 for each holding.I stick them together (they are velcro) , remove the sticky tab cover on one side & attach it to the frame x 4. Then I remove the remaining sticky tab covers and just press the frame onto the surface I want to hang the picture on & it's done! It's that easy!Ideal for hanging fun pictures.I recommend!Worked well and would recommend for the price.

Follow up review - an expensive mistake
I bought a number of these in differing sizes to prevent damage to the walls when hanging pictures after redecorating. Initial impressions were positive despite the hassle of it taking an hour to hang each picture. Despite carefully following the instructions, a number of pictures have subsequently fallen off the wall - causing far more damage than a couple of minor holes from a traditional picture hook. Frequently, it was a loss of adhesion between the command strip and the picture frame rather than the strip and the wall that caused the failure. Not all picture frames have wide enough sides to fit the strips to either. I've now removed the strips from a number of pictures and replaced them with traditional hooks to prevent getting woken in the middle of the night with a sudden crash again. An expensive lesson learnt. I've retained the poster strips which seem to be holding up, but a poster falling down won't cause as much damage.

Is this magic?
I'm not sure how these things can hold as much weight as they do but it's so much better than having nails in my wall. Applying them takes a while and requires you to the hold them down a couple of times but it's well worth it. They come off the wall with ease and just as easily re-attach.

Great idea if you can stick them together in the right position
I think these are a good idea as long as you line them up properly after sticking them to the wall. I think you are ment to stick them together on the hanging item take the sticky back off and then push it on the wall where you want it to go. After that you are meant to peel the item off and let the ones left on the wall stick for an hour before lining up and sticking the item back on. This is the most difficult part. Most of the time I don't peel the item off I just let it stick and so far it has worked well.

Do not recommend
Not very good! Followed instructions and put my picture up, everything was fine for about 2days when suddenly my picture frame fell off the wall! Very light frame with just x3 photos in so didn’t reach the maximum weight requirement what so ever! Now I have a broken frame and need to go and get proper picture hooks. Do not recommend well not for anything breakable anyways!

I have even moved a picture mores than 2 days after putting it up and it came away easily, leaving no residue
Have used these for artwork all over the house in small, medium and large. They save me having to drill holes, use raw plugs and nails etc.. I have even moved a picture mores than 2 days after putting it up and it came away easily, leaving no residue.Would not now use anything else to hang pictures or plaques.

Only for lighweight frames
These seem to work ok for lightweight picture frames but I've tried sticking 2/3 on heavier frames but they've not held, resulting in damage to the wall (as the frames fall, scrapes the wall) and the frame. Would only recommend for the lightweight frames. For frames I've wanted to take down or remove, the strips peeled off the wall fine and did not leave a mark, so in that respect, they do what they claim.

Very poor product
Total rubbish. Definitely not as advertised. Very difficult to use. Did not hold at all, then when tried to remove, took off paint, even after following instructions. Had to spend £20 even though I only wanted one pack to try, and unable to return all but the most expensive pack. Very disappointed indeed.
