Fits 2010 Macbook Pro 15 inch - works great so far!
This is a great product. Thankfully, the Macbook battery was pretty easy to remove - just search YouTube for instructions. I suspected my old battery was getting pressurized - my trackpad was lifting out of place and the rear panel was pushing out. Well, good thing I changed it - I was right! I think I'll go and take it apart and analyze what went wrong just for fun.The battery came with tools that fit the annoying screws inside the Macbook Pro pretty well. Outside is Philips and inside is a three-pronged screw called the tri-lobe. Be ye warned about these - I had to press pretty hard to get them loose. In fact, one of them was near stripping, and I very carefully had to use small vice-grips to break it free (because of Apple's locking compound used, not because of seller's tools). If I were prudent, I would have gotten the same screws with a Philips head to replace these (if available) in case I needed to change the battery again in the future - honestly I expect this computer to last a very very long time, except the battery. Ironically, one of them was behind a sticker that said "Do not remove battery. See authorized repair persons for replacement." Take that Apple. The battery lasts quite nicely so far and I have had no problems with it. I haven't actually measured the time I get from it yet - I'all update when I do. But, it seems pretty comparable to the original, and I have no complaints. That concludes my review relevant to 70% of people, but read on for a few more notes.I've heard some people say that they would rather overpay and have an OEM or Apple-approved battery put in - well, I figured if I were going to do that, I might as well just buy a new computer - they're cheaper now than they used to be anyway. I said to myself, why not give it a try, and here I am, writing this review on my old Macbook Pro!I also recommend backing up the computer before you do any work on it, just in case something goes wrong and the hard drive is unrecoverable. Finally, I feel compelled to make two recommendations: while the computer is cracked open, do yourself a favor and consider the following:1. Clean the cooling fans a little (look online for instructions on how to do this). Also, gently blow off the circuity with low-pressure compressed air (or cans are available specifically for this purpose - thanks capitalism) and get some dust off. This may help it run cooler and I feel it's just good housekeeping. Also, you wouldn't believe the stuff that works their way into the tiny air inlets - my friend had a noise in his - turns out a scrap of paper about 2 inches long and a pencil's width worked its way in somehow!2. UPGRADE YOUR HARD DRIVE TO SOLID STATE (SSD)!! I did this when I changed battery, and my computer sped up noticeably! The hard drive went from 36/32 read/write to 255/255 MB/s, and what a difference!! Boot time dropped by 43%! It also runs cooler and more efficiently because there is no disk to spin. This means longer battery life. Also, it's not as hot, so doesn't have to spin fans as hard - double bonus! I haven't taken measurements to prove these claims, but I suspect they're true.

Flawless Product with OEM performance
Great value with a higher capacity!I looked at other replacement batteries months back but held off because of their steep price. After coming across this LQM battery I decided to order because it was so affordable. At first my expectations weren't high because of the whole "you get what you pay for" mantra, but I am EXCEEDINGLY SATISFIED!This battery arrived well packed and included all the necessary tools. Perfect fit and easy instal!- Best of all, the battery has a higher rated capacity than some of the more expensive ones I saw... = longer batter life! Also, when charging it actually reaches 100% on my battery status bar, an issue I had read about some of the other.Overall I would highly recommend you buy this battery if your old MacBook can't hold its charge anymore. Awesome -easy- upgrade to get more life out of your Mac.

Good battery once I could install it.
I purchased this battery as a replacement battery on my Macbook Pro 6,2 mid 2010. When it arrived, I started to replace it. It had come with 2 small screwdrivers. I unscrewed the back with no problem, and then tried to undo the screws holding the battery. The battery screws are a very unusual tri-slot screw. The 2nd driver sent was a torx, and did not fit those screws. I tried to find one locally and couldn't and was rather frustrated since it had said the screwdrivers were included. I wrote a negative seller review and was immediately contacted by Nicholas. He was anxious to help solve the problem and once I explained, he sent a new screwdriver. The PO was slow in delivering it, but that was not his fault - he sent it first class and it should have come in 2 days, not 6. With the new screwdriver I easily replaced the battery. I put it through a couple of calibration cycles by letting the computer completely discharge and go to sleep. Waiting 5 hours, then plugging it in and bringing it back to full charge. I did this twice. The battery now seems to be functioning well. Yesterday, I unplugged the battery when the computer was fully charged and started my stopwatch. After 5 hours and 55 minutes I remembered to check, thinking it would have gone to sleep and I missed it - but in fact, it was at 5%. That was much longer than I had expected it to last. This was just sitting there with the screen on the whole time (not in screensaver mode). As is normal when unplugged, the brightness was reduced by 2 levels. So at this point, the battery seems like a good deal. I suggested to Nicholas that he could include a much better set of instructions as well as being sure the screwdrivers included are correct the first time. If that had been the case for me, this review would have been 5 stars. But Nicholas certainly was very helpful and anxious to set things right, so the service was excellent.

So far great battery
Battery on my mid 2010 macbook pro died completely after 6 years. I only ever move my macbook about every 6 months so when the battery died I wasn't too concerned about replacing it. I did notice however the laptop was getting extremely slow. I was pretty disappointment because even though it is older, it still has an i7 processor, 8gb of ram, a great SSD, and dedicated video card. I decided to get the battery just to help limp it through until I bought a new one in a few months. I replaced the battery and immediately noticed a jump in speed. Turns out that processor speed is reduced purposefully when a battery is dead/bad. Also, I noticed the fan kicked it in high gear as soon as I turned the computer on. I few restarts solved it but you have to reset the SMC if this keeps happening.
