Get a lot without spending a lot!
This is my 2nd Vankyo tablet…….I also purchased a Z10 tablet in Feb.2020. Like many others I have tried different brands over the past few years. But I have never purchased 2 of the same brand before. In my opinion Vankyo has proven that you don’t have to spend a lot of money to get a high quality tablet. I will be using this Vankyo S8 as a way to show educational videos to people. The Vankyo Z10 is just a little too big to do that comfortably, and a 7” tablet is just a little too small. The Vankyo S8 is the ideal size and plenty powerful for my needs. Downloaded videos run with no lag. I also have tried it for Zoom conferencing and it performs as good as my Z10 and Ipad, but the screen is just a little too small if your meetings are more than 20 minutes, in my opinion. I believe the Vankyo S8 is the best Android tablet you can buy for less than $90, and based on my experience with my 2 tablets, several friends and family are purchasing Vankyo tablets.

High cost quality with low cost price
Awesome tablet for the price. I use it for video viewing and browsing the internet and it is actually a pretty smooth experience. No problems works well the screen gets pretty bright and you can see it in the sunlight. Battery life is also good. I would not try to use it for extreme gaming but more for a streaming experience. It's very portable I can fit it in my Jean pockets even with a case on. I think for the price this is perfect because I have a legit tablet that I didn't have to pay hundreds of dollars for like buying an iPad or high end android and it does everything those tablets do.

Great tablet for online school and eBook reading
I purchased this tablet as I needed something lightweight for reading eBooks and accessing school apps. My school requires using the CANVAS app. The online classes at my school use lecture videos, YouTube videos, and class materials in PDF files.I purchased a Fire 8HD tablet for this reason, and due to the Amazon version of Android and the restrictions on it, I was unable to download the CANVAS app required by my school. (I tried multiple times and workarounds) Unable to use it for class, it became an entertainment device for movies, music, and news.In looking for an 8” tablet, I wanted an open system to access Google Play Store so I could download the required school apps. It comes with the latest Android OS Pie 9.0, unlike other tablets out there. Having expandable memory meant a non-Apple tablet as their memory is fixed. I also wanted a tablet without all the company added software(bloatware). As it limits the tablet performance, so Samsung was not going to be my first choice, especially at almost twice the cost.I did what most of you probably do, read reviews, look online at information, and then wondered if I should take a chance from a name brand, I know nothing about its value. After deciding to take that chance, here are my thoughts.First of all, the Vankyo 8” tablet is excellent, I really like it. It is perfect for online schooling. After downloading the CANVAS app, I have no trouble accessing the class content and downloading files for reading later. The class videos played fine, and YouTube was no problem. The one issue I have had with the tablet is the speakers are weak. I usually use a wired or Bluetooth headset anyway, so for me, it’s no problem.Reading eBooks is great as well. This tablet offers a setting for eye comfort, which helps significantly with eye strain. I use this feature on my desktop monitor, and I like it. Changing the settings is very simple and fast. You don’t want to watch videos with the reading setting on it.I did see online reviews about the delay in loading apps. It seemed to work fine; some apps did take a moment longer to load but not a big concern. Considering the cost and features, this is a solid tablet at a wonderful price. I am enjoying this tablet!Developers, if you read this, if possible, better speakers would make this an outstanding all-around tablet. Having a kid-proof case offering would be another beneficial feature.

Perfect for ebooks
Love this tablet! This is exactly what I needed. For the longest time I thought I needed something from a bigger-name brand. Something more expensive, with better specs on paper. Was I ever wrong.I use it primarily to read ebooks using the Google Books app. I uploaded my documents to Google Books on my laptop, downloaded the app to this tablet, and now I’m actually reading everything I’ve been meaning to read before bed at night, (and because it’s taking my mind off my stress I’m sleeping better, too!) I use the blue light filter, I updated the way everything looks with a pretty background and a launcher, I don’t get disruptive notifications from my overpriced Apple devices, nor ads like on a kindle... and I feel pretty smart for not dropping 2-10x the price on something else I just want to keep by the bed for my books. It’s the perfect form factor, lightweight and easy to read from. I got a small case for it that doubles as a stand and that protects the screen when it’s closed.I just love it.

High Quality Responsive Tablet
My 8" Tablet was beginning to fade. So I thought I shop for another. While there are cheaper alternatives, I still appreciate a good value. And to be sure, I don't want unnecessary advertising as is "baked in" with some brands. This fit the bill. Free from bloatware, Under a hundred with good battery and quad processor. Surprisingly thin, something I hadn't really thought about but nice. Feels well-made. Overall, I'm satisfied.
