These dresses are for a wedding - SIZE: I bought the black and gold one in a 24 and the creamy gold one in a 26 to make sure I had something to take to the wedding. I usually wear an 18/20 in dresses and took the advice from Amazon to choose larger sizes with the intent to get the dresses tailored. I am 5"8", a pear shape, and this is a sort of mermaid style dress. The black/gold 24 fits well with just enough room everywhere so that it does not squeeze or cling and the 26 soft gold-warm cream/gold work is somewhat too large. I have no idea what will be comfortable on the day of the wedding, though, so don't regret my decision to buy two, as well as have one more wedding this year to attend. That said, the dresses are really lovely. They are long for those of us who wear flats or short heels, but I can still wear a slightly higher short heel and manage, 2" instead of 1.5". Those who are fortunate enough to be able to wear high heels will be happy. The material is lined everywhere except where it shows in the picture, is a little stretchy, and the outer fabric has an agreeably stiff feel to it, similar to tussar silk, and is not stretchy. These two things, the outer fabric and the stretchy lining, give the dresses body and sleekness as the dress descends. The ornamentation is very nice, richly, skillfully, and generously applied, and the waistline is basically invisible because care was taken in matching up the ornamentation well. I did not realize there was a waist at first and think it makes the dress fit better. The net, vertical inserts at the bottom in the light gold- warm cream color dress are exactly the right shade and the overall effect is better than the picture on the one I received. The leaf work is very striking, and generously applied, and I just wish I had ordered the 24. The black one is dramatic due to contrast, but the gold leaves are handsome against the black, not garish, and, once again, the waist disappears. It is also long on me in short heels, 1.5 inches high, still touching the floor, but still wearable without tailoring if I go to a 2" heel or lift up the front when walking if I don't tailor. I am also pleased with the sheer effect on my arms and back because I never wear sheer fabrics due to my arms and back no longer feeling "sheer-worthy". For some odd reason, the arms disappear into the material's shade of color on the pale gold-cream dress and do not stand out as expected on the black dress. The black dress looks fine and I think the fabric they chose has the right density so that the effect is more a gauzy shade of black rather than black being barely there. The sleeve also is a good length, not too short like a cap sleeve, and comes to about 3" above the elbow which is cool for hot weather, yet still flattering. Delivery was very fast, maybe 3 days(?), and I feel confident I will be appropriately dressed for a wedding where handwork on beautiful fabric will be seen in abundance. I give a very enthusiastic Two Thumbs Up to these dresses!

The dress was beautiful and it fit well the only reason we couldn't keep it was because it was too long and we did not have time to have it hemmed before the event.

Affordable gown, you get what you pay for!

I bought this dress for my mother and she loves it. Its different than the dresses she usually wears but she's a young 80 and she looks it. I bought a 22 in size, mom is 5'5" it is long but would expect that. It's a light weight dress, not as heavy as I thought it wourld be with the sequences on it. Overall Great choice. She's going to look beautiful.

This dress is beautiful. I ordered a size up and returned for one more size up (that’s 2 sizes up) one would have been perfect except the sleeves were snug, to be fair my arms are pretty big. It’s perfect length for heels and I’m 5’6”.It’s an absolutely beautiful dress and the quality is on point with the price. It’s gorgeous, will it last forever? Probably not. Is it the highest quality fabric in the world? No. It’s a gorgeous dress for a formal occasion, and I’ll definitely use it more than once before passing it on to someone else.

The dress arrived as stated within 7-10 days. Very pretty and quality is fairly good. I loved the flair of the skirt and the way it accentuates curve of hips! Returning for larger size, because these sizes are not our US sizes at all, obviously. You will need to order 1-2 sizes up at least. But they were VERY responsive with return and DID issue my refund, unlike another dress seller on Amazon, CLOTHFUN. You do not want to order from them--no refund on dress!

It’s very cute I recommend you size up 1 or 2 sizes specially because it doesn’t stretch I bought it for my moms 50th and she fell in love with it! The color is so vibrant!

Fits great, looks great, pricing is great. So, I guess that makes it a great value
