Proper Installation is Key!
These floating shelf brackets will support more weight than you will ever need, but they have to be installed correctly. Find the stud, cut the drywall to expose the stud, mount the bracket vertically by putting screws through all four holes, repair the drywall. Use a hole centering jig as a guide for drilling the holes in the shelf. I used five brackets screwed to studs to support a 2 inch thick, 8 inch wide, 7 foot long shelf. The bracket pin is 1/2 inch in diameter so use a 5/8 or even a 11/16 drill bit, especially if using multiple brackets. You can squirt a little silicone adhesive into the hole to hold it for a long, long time.

The paint finish and the welding marks are pretty bad. Needs reworking. MS tube is used instead of rod, which will allow insects to breed. Not recommended.

Great quality, highly recommend.

I used this on our floating shelves. I didn't use the anchors that came with them. We have plaster walls and they don't thread as well as just dig. Otherwise these are built well.

I used these in a 2" Oak shelf. They worked as the should and included mounting plugs and screws. The welds seem good. Only flaw is a couple of the bars were attached slightly off of square from the flat mouning plate.

The biggest problem with these is you have to drill them straight then use a chisel to fit the bracket inside so it's hidden. This requires either a drill press or a very steady hand. Once the holes are in and deep enough, you can mark the outline of the bracket when it's in the hole and then chisel the rectangle base slot out. Only go about 1/4 " deep and test it so it's just deep enough to hide the bracket when it's on the wall. Measure the wall and try to get a screw or 2 into the wall stud then slid the shelf over the bracket. Use a small drill on each bracket finger and drill a hole on the bottom of the shelf. With out this screw in, the shelf can slide off when you're not expecting. You'll need at least 1 1/2" material for the shelf. Does a good job and looks smartly hidden. You get a good idea by the picture beside my fireplace for my model Blue Nose.
