Q: How long can i store these for after i open the bag? when do they expire? should i transfer them to a container or ziplock?

Hi, They are good for up to three years. If you are storing them for one year they do great in their packaging. If you would like to store them longer we recommend transferring them to an airtight container and keeping them in a dry, cool and dark place.

Q: Does this have a strong pea taste? Can you really taste the pea-ness?

I could tell you that I cooked with these for the first time a week ago. I will tell you it was the best split pea soup I ever made - much better than I have ever made with any other variety. I bought these because I could not find any on the shelf at supermarkets for a month or so. They are great - I just cooked them with onion garlic white sweet potatoes and carrots - and salted later as it says !
