Quick to Connect and Very Reliable for Everyday Use
Summary: Quick to set up, consistently reliable, and works smoothly with the Feit app. Alexa integration has been seamless, and once connected to a properly configured 2.4 GHz WiFi network, these plugs have been dependable for everyday and seasonal use. Smart Device WiFi Setup: The one thing to be aware of is that this plug works best on a properly configured 2.4 GHz WiFi network. If your router combines 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz into one network, you may need to split the bands so you can connect the plug specifically to 2.4 GHz. In most routers, this is found in the WiFi or Wireless settings section of the router app or web dashboard. I also had to confirm the security was set to WPA2 and adjust the 2.4 GHz advanced settings so the connection stayed stable, including locking the channel bandwidth to 20 MHz instead of auto. These options are usually located under Advanced WiFi or Advanced Wireless settings. Once those settings were adjusted, the plug has worked flawlessly without disconnects. I’m not a tech support person, and once I knew which settings to look for, the fix was straightforward. I personally used ChatGPT as a guide to understand which settings to change and where to find them. Full Review: I set up this smart plug in our living room, and the entire setup process only took a few minutes. After plugging it in, I pressed the small button on the side to start pairing, and the Feit Electric app recognized it right away. It connected quickly and synced immediately with my other Feit devices. Alexa picked it up automatically, and voice control was ready to use within a day. I really like that the app shows clear on and off status updates and allows me to check the plug remotely. Even when it’s tucked behind furniture, the connection has stayed stable and responsive. I’m currently using these plugs for several everyday and seasonal items, including a white noise machine, a living room candle warmer, and a holiday tree. For the white noise machine, I have it scheduled to turn off automatically in the morning before my 13 year old’s alarms go off, and it works consistently without needing adjustments. For the holiday tree, I use an Alexa routine to turn the lights on at sundown and turn them off at a time when we’re typically all in bed, which has been very convenient and reliable throughout the season. When a plug isn’t in use seasonally, I store it in a safe place to avoid extreme humidity or temperature changes, so weather shifts don’t affect it between uses. Each time I plug it back in, it reconnects and works as expected. Overall, I love these smart plugs. They’re simple, dependable, and make both daily routines and seasonal setups much easier to manage. As long as your WiFi is set up correctly, they’re a great value, and I would absolutely buy more as we continue adding smart features around the house. Update 1/8/26: After switching to AT&T internet, I found that using the same 2.4 GHz WiFi name and password as the previous router makes for a seamless transition, since the plugs can reconnect automatically without needing to be reset. In my case, I enabled the Guest WiFi network in the AT&T router’s advanced WiFi settings and renamed it to match the 2.4 GHz WiFi name my smart devices were already using. I also increased the allowed number of devices. All of my existing plugs connected automatically, and after completing the setup to reconnect the one plug I had disconnected, it was back online in seconds. If you’re not comfortable changing router settings, AT&T support can assist.

Good product and easy to use
I bought this Feit smart plug because I had good experience with Feit smart plug. It is easy to connect to the house WiFi and the app is very user friendly. It is easy to set up and I can use my phone to control it whenever I need. My first Feit smart plug was bought ~5 years ago and it is still working.

Great Value
I recently purchased this product and have been using it for about a week. Overall, it offers great value for the price and has worked exactly as advertised. The main drawback is its lack of HomeKit compatibility. However, given the additional costs manufacturers face for HomeKit certification, I wasn't expecting this feature at this price point. Setup was straightforward, and the user interface is intuitive. All features function as described, and I haven't encountered any technical issues. While HomeKit users may find the lack of integration inconvenient, it's understandable given the affordable price. For those not heavily invested in the Apple ecosystem, this shouldn't be a significant concern. This product delivers reliable performance and excellent value. Despite the HomeKit limitation, I would recommend it to anyone seeking a budget-friendly option that meets its promised capabilities.

This items is TeRrIbLe....!!!! Wifi connectivity my ...... !
UPDATE!!!! - OKAY, I switched internet providers recently for cost savings, and MAYBE it had everything to do with an incompatible modem/router?!? With this new internet service, this exact plug that disconnected from wifi every couple weeks has NOW been constantly connected to the new service for 3 months now AND performs its nightly on/off schedule. So, I DO have to change my mind on this unit for the time being as it seems to be working like a charm now....!!!! PREVIOUS REVIEW : This item, WHEN it works, is great! BUT, it's the times it doesn't work that it's irritating. LUCKILY, for me, it's only being used to turn my Tetris lamp on and off nightly. I had purchased 3 of these from Amazon and 3 from Home Depot. Unfortunately, I couldn't return the Home Depot ones, so this review is for them, but they're the exact same units. I have it set nightly, turning on at 6:00pm and off at 11:00pm. I will have to say, about EVERY 2 - 3 weeks, the unit will somehow disconnect from the wifi, and then it's rendered useless....it's off its timer and nothing gets turned on. Like I said, it's only being used to turn on my Tetris lamp. But it's for this reason I don't bother using the other 2 units I have as I can't trust them. Imagine if I had this plugged in behind a bookcase or someplace hard to access, it would be an extreme hassle to locate it, unplug it, plug it back in and get the wifi to connect to it again. I do this with the lamp, but luckily the plug is literally right next to the lamp. But I shouldn't have to do this once or twice a month.

These work well using the Feit app on my iphone and Alexa
These are the second set I have purchased. They have worked very well for me. Use them to control Christmas lights and some other lighting fixtures also. Fairly easy to set up and use. Nice that I can also schedule them for on/off times.

Unreliable
They have quite a bit of variability whether they’ll stay connected to WiFi. I have two five feet from each other and the one disconnects randomly and stays disconnected, but if I unplug it and plug it back in it connects fine for awhile again. Looking at other reviews there does appear to be a pattern of poor quality and inconsistency for connectivity. A compounding problem is these don’t keep their schedule unless they’re connected to WiFi. Idiotic. We’ve had inexpensive, durable, reliable mechanical timers for decades and they’re better than the new fancy tech. The tech industry at large cannot design anything successfully anymore, they don’t test and think, they just ship it. I’m a software engineer by profession, I’ve seen how the sausage is made lately and left the industry because sharing a codebase with many of these people is insufferable. Competence crisis is real and ubiquitous.
