The conformability of 401+ makes this tape especially useful when placing it around corners, over contours and irregular surfaces. 3M Scotch 401+ High Performance green masking tape is a solvent-free adhesive that offers 36 ounces per inch of peel adhesion compared to 3M's blue painter’s tape, which only offers 23 ounces per inch. This means it maintains an exceptionally strong hold on metal, rubber, glass, and plastic, yet it is still designed to remove cleanly in one piece, without leaving any residue behind.
