is it sturdy or flimsy?

It is sturdy. My daughters ages 9 and 11, use it in their room. The put drinks and even their 15 inch laptop on it with no issues.

Would this be sturdy on a carpeted floor? Would a toddler be able to pull it over easily?

It is sturdy on carpet. I have it on carpet. But a toddler would be able to pull it over. It's not very heavy at all.

Is it possible to obtain a replacement spindle for one received with cracked paint?
