Some great counsel for corporate professionals
This book is an immensely useful resource on how to survive and thrive in the big bad world of corporate politics and power. The key message is that the corporate politics and power games are for real and it is the your responsibility to understand these and play the game to your advantage. The author accepts the facts as they are and advises the managers to take care of their best interests without feeling bad or guilty about it.

Thoroughly insightful and a 'Power'ful toolkit
I started reading this book as part of my course reading. It took me a while to digest the concept of power as inevitable in one's career. The initial chapters present compelling arguments to ease you into this. Post that, it was a great read - making notes to self and figuring out ways to implement it.

Interesting read, most of seems accurate, especially in more corporate settings but some relevant in any organisation. An eye openner as to how some people operate and why it's hard for less socially astute technical staff to progess to C-Suite. Read this before embarking up the greasy pole and you are less likey to be supprised by others behaviour, and better equipped if you still want to take that route.

Similar to Robert Greene’s approach to power, that it’s inevitable and unavoidable so why not play the game, this book shows power struggles in a matter of fact way. This book does not propose unethical behaviour, but simply a realistic approach. There are also key benefits to seeking power, such as doing good and improving health. Overall a good manual for power.
