Awesome Puppet
My niece loves when we read to her with this puppet. It is extremely well made and detailed, like all Folkmantis puppets are. This one is really cool because you can move the eyes, controlling where they look. Such a cool detail in a hand puppet. Its a perfect addition for any story time, whether your a librarian, storyteller or just a crazy uncle.

Love Ents? You'll Love this Puppet!
I adore Folkmanis puppets, they are the best out there and I collect the miniature ones mostly, but my mother loves Lord of the Rings and ents (those are walking, talking trees for those of you not familiar) and saw this and hinted and hinted that she wanted it for Christmas. The puppet is adorable. The bottom branches will move, as well as the mouth, and there is a spot inside the puppet to control the eyes! It's very well made, as all Folkmanis puppets are, and even cuter than the picture. It was totally worth the $40 we paid for it!

More soft sculpture than puppet!
Like most Folkmanis puppets, this Enchanted Tree is more a person with whom to share your home than a toy to stash away in a box when not in use. I understand that, for copyright reasons, Folkmanis could not really claim that this puppet is the Treebeard character from Tolkien's Lord of the Rings, but he is very much what I imagined when I first read about a tree who could uproot himself to walk, spoke in a booming voice with slow musical intonations and was -- at his innermost ring -- kind. I have always loved trees and this one is even cuddly. Very few trees can reciprocate hugs. His eyes will move, controlled by what feels like a cardboard piece inside his head, and he yawns beautifully. He also makes a wonderful soft sculptured presence with a nice circular base of fabric around the inside of this trunk. He stands well alone but for extra balance, you could stuff his trunk with a piece of those inflated plastic packing cylindrical things that Amazon uses.He arrived promptly, just in time to enjoy the annual fall toadstool (mushroom?) explosion in my yard, but he also has one of his own.

I LOVE this guy
OMG....I LOVE this guy! soooooo cute and fun! it is a little hard to work the eyes and the mouth at the same time, but im sure my preschoolers wont care! I wish it was bigger, but it is still big enough to make an impression on my students. My daughter (9 years old) and my husband both played with him for hours....in fact i had to take it away from them so i could have a turn. Now i just need to know what to name him :) Looking forward to sharing him with my class :)

Perfect puppet purchase!
Even though I had to return this item is was because of no dissatisfaction! Unfortunately our daughter received two of these (and would have loved to keep them both!). It is well made and ever so animated with very real looking (no pun intended) movable eyes. Every branch can be accessed for movement and there is plenty of room for using both hands should you wish to do so. The material is soft and there is substantial filler to give the puppet stability with no floppiness. Truly a puppet that delivers! Highly recommended!

Tree puppet
I love it in my the piece that helps move the eyes immediately came off of one side. I can’t slide it back on and it would just come back out again… love to just fix it is there is an easy way to do so.

Crisis averted..... might not be for tiny kids.
An amazing puppet! Beautifully made. I gave it to my 6 year old granddaughter who sadly burst into tears upon opening it. She was frightened by the googly eyes. Thankfully she came over into my lap and I proceeded to gently scold the puppet for scaring her. She moved on to other toys as I put him on a shelf facing the wall. Next day, she asked about it, and I told her I had given him a "time out". She allowed as to how that was appropriate but she now wanted to play with him. Phew. She loved it. It is a wonderful creature character. It is a bit complex to manipulate with eyes, mouth and branches all calling for movement, but she will grow into it. I'd love other woodland creatures to go with it.

The Eyes Don't Work
I don't understand this product. The eyes roll around by themselves even though you're supposed to be able to control them with your fingers inside the puppet. The eyes really ruin it which is a shame because it's a beautiful product. I'm really disappointed. They just slide into the back of its head. Maybe I can buy some heavy duty glue and glue them in place? I'll wait till my husband gets home to see if he can figure it out but frankly if an adult can't operate this thing how is a kid supposed to? For what this cost this is a stupid issue for the product to have.
