Post-Camping Trip Review - This pillow is awesome!
I'm writing a follow-up to my original review for two reasons:1) I got an email notification saying someone had asked a question based on my review (and now my ego is inflated so sit back and enjoy me, a random stranger, ranting and raving about a pillow)2) I genuinely felt bad about the three stars I originally gave this pillow (again it only had to do with the smell and not the actual pillow)I did go on my backpacking trip (as if anyone actually skimming this cares). It was awesome, and that was helped considerably by the level of comfort achieved by my sleep setup. Holy shit is this a nice pillow! ...Either that or I was just exhausted at the end of every day. But I'd like to think it was the pillow. It was quiet, nicely cushioned, and the level of adjustability was off the chart (a lot of the time I didn't even need to inflate it all the way to achieve my level of comfort). Now my earlier review sited the smell as really bad. It was. However, the key word there is "was". I received the NEMO Fillo about a week before my trip, and was initially let down by the extreme chemical smell coming from it. I did some more reading and found that apparently Memory foam is just really smelly because of the chemicals used to make it. So it had nothing to do specifically with NEMO or the pillow. I washed the liner, and air dried the whole pillow outside for the entire week (overkill maybe) but it ended up eliminating the smell. With that cleared up, the question posed was "Does it have a way to strap it to your mat?" My answer? Well yes, but actually no. If you look at the picture on Amazon, and anywhere else (videos on YouTube, etc.) you'll notice it does have a little loop on the side but that's not really for strapping it to anything. I guess you could try jerry rigging something using said loop but good luck. There are different sized versions of the NEMO Fillo pillow though that do have an actual strap for putting around your sleep mat, but this size version does not. I myself didn't find this to be a huge problem, because I was using a bivy cover, and it fit nicely and never slipped out.One last thing to maybe take away before purchasing is that this is a luxury pillow (at least in my opinion). So, if you go camping/backpacking like I did (in 90+ degree weather, high humidity, sleeping under the stars, with, at most, one shower opportunity for a month+), prepare to have a possibly damp, stained pillow. I was sweating a LOT, and as a result, the pillow, being made of an actual foam material, and a cloth cover, absorbed some of that moisture. Now while this may seem obvious to many, I was not really thinking about it at the time of purchase because I was looking for a comfortable (and compact) pillow, that I could use all year round. So I rolled the dice and got a foam pillow. That being said, when I say damp, I mean SLIGHTLY, and when I say stained, I mean just the cover which is machine washable. The pillow has been washed, and has recovered perfectly. So this is less of an "avoid this because..." and more of a "I didn't anticipate sweating and drooling so much". So if you don't sweat or drool (we get it, you're cool) or perhaps you get to shower regularly while camping, go for it. But if you are human and sweat and occasionally (I swear it's never happened before) drool, still go for it.*It also rained every other freaking day. So to be fair there weren't a lot of drying opportunities.*Anyway! NEMO Fillo pillow....you should get one because they're awesome pillows! The best? Idk. Pricey? Eh yeah but what isn't when it comes to camping gear? Luxury? Sure(?) Worth it? Yes!*I bought the 'Abyss' color (softer cloth cover material)**I'm a side-sleeper and this pillow was still really comfortable

Can Roll Down to a Size About the Size of a Can of Soup.
Purchase this pillow for travel. It is great and I can adjust the firmness with my breathe. I used this on a recent trip and it performed well.

Great 3 part design helps this old.man sleep
I got too old to just crash out anywhere and needed a compact pillow. After using it for a few years i have nothing but good things to say about it. This helped in 3 ways - 1. A cloth fabric for a great skin feeling, 2. A memory foam layer for softness, 3. An inflatable bladder that you adjust to your needs but you don't feel directly thanks to the foam. To top it off there is a great design that let's the pillow fold up into a hidden pocket of the pillowcase so there no extra bag to lose. Really glad I found this pillow.

Almost the right choice!
I've been on a grand tour of camping pillows trying to find the perfect one. This one comes close, but I'm not sure if it's going to be the one I eventually settle on.Pros:- packs fairly small. Not as small as bladder only pillows.... but smaller than most "compressible" type pillows.- quite comfortable... the foam side has a nice give to it- tall - nearly 4" tall, for side sleepers this may be the best choice... most don't get this big.Cons:- I'm pretty adept, but getting this thing back into it's stuff sack takes practice.- Smell... oh my... unpack this thing and let it air out for at least 3 days before you use it. It's nauseating out of the bag.- it's slick on the bottom, slides around on my pad. This is the #1 reason I didn't give this pillow 5 stars. Why in the world would you use a super slick bottom that has no surface stickiness... there is zero chance this pillow will stay in place on your pad. You will absolutely need to engineer some kind of shock cord system to hold it in place.

Best inflatable pillow I have used so far
I have used a few different types of pillows for backpacking and so far this one is the best. The size is great while still allowing it to be packable. The foam is the best feature for me as I like to keep my pillows mostly deflated while I sleep for comfort. It lessens that balloon feel you get with other camp pillows. Note: this is the original version and not the upgraded one. I hear the upgraded one is pretty much just another basic inflatable pillow.

Comfortable Versatile Neck Support
The best part of these pillows besides the fact that they can compact well…is that they can adjust for side or back sleeping and the foam side makes it very soft. Helps avoid a kinked neck. The photo is the weight of the same model, different color.
