Q: Is this the same sauce they put on Sesame Chicken at the Asian restaurants?

It is not the same sauce that is used in my local Chinese restaurant. It does taste like a version I have made from a recipe, but was only "okay" with the taste. I ordered this hoping for the restaurant taste. I have about decided that the restaurant taste can only be obtained through the restaurant. But my son-in-law calls this sauce "The Bomb" (translates to "Really Very Good"), so it is a decent Sesame Sauce for homemade meals.

Caseville Grandma I understand how you misunderstood the intent of the question but this is really typical Amazon Faux Pas in how they list products now. It’s harder to know which product has good reviews from others on the same page. As mentioned by Nonna, you now must carefully look at the top of each review to see which product was being reviewed. It makes it easier for the sellers but harder on the customer.

Q: I am only one person and only eat General Tso once a week. How long would an opened, refrigerated container stay fresh for?

The sauce has preservatives and a sugar content. I would recommend to keep the sauce refrigerated after opening. It will stay fresh for several months. I’ve been using this product for years as a chef. This is the best Tso out there!
