I liked it but...
then the fan started rattling after about 4 weeks of on and off usage. Still is a great product but hearing this rattling noise is extremely distracting and unwanted. The capability of being able to move the fans anywhere with the magnets is great and I really love that feature. It is fairly heavy as well when combining it to my 15" hp envy but it lets your laptop breath when you have it on your lap and the tilted design helps angle for when you're typing. Even without the fans it will give your laptop that breathing room needed, just be sure to remove the fans to allow for more airflow.Edit 12-6-2012: Ok, it's been about 3 months and it was still bugging me that the fan was rattling, thus not letting me use the fans to cool the laptop. So I read around on ways to solve this problem and I found a solution that suggested using WD-40 110054 Multi-Use Product Spray with Smart Straw, 8 oz. while this isn't the same model I used it's still the same product. So, I pulled back the affected fan a little bit to be able to spray into the bearings with the nozzle. I cleaned it up, plugged it in and now it works like before no rattling, YESS!This might be only a temporary fix to my problem but for now I can actually use the fans again so I'm satisfied. Hope this helps any potential buyers should they ever encounter this kind of problem, cheers.

USB cable failed after 6 months
When I first received the Cryo E40, I really liked it. The ability to position the fans where they can be most effective is great. HOWEVER - after 6 months the USB cable has failed at the "Y" where the two fans are wired to the plug. The fans no longer spin. There is a piece of shrink tubing over the wire joint, and if I wiggle the wires at the shrink tubing I can sometimes get the fans to kick-on for a while - but they always quit after a few minutes. Today I sent a request to NZXT support to see if the fans can be replaced, and it will be interesting to see what they say. If they make it too difficult to get the fans replaced, I'll probably try cutting off the shrink tubing and trying to repair it myself. The top is only held onto the plastic base by 4 very small Neodymium magnets that are pressed into the plastic. Two of the magnets have already pulled out of the plastic. I might try a little superglue to see if that will help. Overall, I probably won't buy this laptop cooler again and I also won't recommend it. It's too bad - it is very close to being an excellent product - but a couple of faults keep it from succeeding.Update on 10/19/2013: NZXT support was excellent, I submitted a support ticket on their website and they sent me a replacement for the entire USB fan set. I'm adding a star for very good support.

Cools, but is irritating to use
My laptop is small, but overheats so I need to use a cooler. I bought this one because it was cheap and had some decent reviews.I've been using this cooler for a few weeks and it's ok. It keeps my laptop cool most of the time, but there are some things about it that are irritating. In order to have the moveable fans, the top metal grid and plastic bottom come apart. They're held together by little magnets spaced around the edge and I've found that these magnets don't do a good job of keeping the two pieces together. I use my laptop on my lap so I set it and the cooler down and pick it back up several times a day. I have to slide the top back onto the bottom almost every time I pick the two back up.The fans can also get noisy. I have yet to figure out why they're rattling; it doesn't happen all the time. If I take the cooler apart and move the fans around a bit, the noise stops usually.I feel like there has to be a better cooler than this out there. I just haven't found it yet.

Notebook cooler, Love it!
My laptop was constantly overheating and shutting itself down. I finally looked into getting a cooler fan but didn't know what kind to get. I noticed the areas where my laptop was overheating didn't match up with the coolers that where out there. Their fans were positioned in places that didn't cover where I needed them. Then I saw the NZXT Notebook cooler with 2 movable fans and thought they could do the job. I was right! I was able to position the little fans right over the hot stops of my lap top. It worked like a charm. My laptop hasn't shut down since! I was also happy to know that the fans are very quiet too. Much quieter then the fan in my laptop! Very happy with this Notebook cooler. Love that the fans are magnetic and can be moved easily. This was a great buy but only wish they had a cooler with three magnetic fans, that would be fabulous!

WORKS WELL SO FAR
I bought this NZXT Notebook Cooler with 2 Moveable Fans as a backup in case my old notebook cooler may die from "old age" sooner or later. I tested it as soon as I received it and it worked perfectly, with no harsh sounds and good flow of air from the fans. I only gave it 4 stars because I haven't tested it for any real length of time yet. When my old cooler gives out, I'll use this one and give it the real "time test" and update my review then. : )

Great for my overheating laptop
I love how this cools down my HP laptop, and I have not had any heating problems with it since. I love how you can move the fans to the area you need. They just attach with magnets inside of the cooling frame. However, I have had some clicking sound issues with it. I would still use this over other cooling pads. After some time is when it starts to click, but if you are playing games this is a great cooler to use.

Guess I expected more endurance.......
Good design. Not-so-good endurance. Fans inside are great - moveable w/magnets. But I soon lost a couple of fan blades. Then, the tiny wires supplying power to the fans shorted out, so first one fan, then the other didn't work. Is it a disaster? NO! I've found that just the base - no fans/wires, etc. - below my laptop dissipates most of the heat w/o need of the electrical falderal. And the cost wasn't so high as to be all that upset.
