So far so good.
Very happy so far. I set up over a week ago and enjoyed the set up process. After reading the clogging issues in some of the reviews, I made sure to rinse the hydroballs thoroughly. I then positioned the pump on the floor of the tank and covered the pump directly with a piece of the screen mesh which was then weighed down with a 3" layer of hydroballs. I placed a sheet of screen mesh on top of the hydroballs from wall to wall, followed a layer of sphagnum moss and finally the coconut coir substrate. I think the water movement adds a lot to the terrarium.

Be smart
This is a good product if you can do your research and use logical thinking. Obviously dirt in the pump is a no go.. i created a dish of sorst usiing a rock feature. I drilled small holes so water can get in i put the hydro balls inside of the rock feature but the whole bottom layer of the vivarium was filled as a drainage layer. Lots of landscape matt will continue to help keep debris out of the pump and seperqte my drainage charcole and substrate layer.. I did drill holes to make the rock feature a water fall and an so happy with the result. Can't wait for the habitat to stabilize and to bring the crested gecko home.

Good kit but needed some fine tuning additions and knowledge for setup.
The hose could have been longer. I went to a local hardware store for a longer replacement. Longer hose was not offered by Zoo Med. It could have also offered advice on how many hydroballs and what water level common sized tanks needed. Had to research other setups to get enough of that info to feel comfortable with what still was guess work. Those are my only complaints at this time. Overall happy with the product. Check out YouTube for reviews and Big Al's vid has a decent walkthrough on setup procedure.

how to actually make it work....
Okay...this is a tricky thing to get to work. It took many trials and errors. So let me help save you a lot of frustration: 1. Pick out a piece of throw-away tupperware. 2. Cut a hole in the lid just big enough to fit the waterfall hose through. 3. Drill lots of little holes in the tupperware bowl. 4. Place waterfall motor in thd bowl and suction it to the bottom. 5. Select waterfall intensity (medium worked best for us). 6. Run tube through lid and connect it to the motor. 7. Close lid. 8. Place bowl in bottom of EMPTY terrarium where you want it. 9. Fill the bottom of the terrarium with hydroballs that have been thoroughly rinsed while holding the tupperware bowl down to the ground. Fill with hydroballs to the top of the container's edge. 10. Place screen mesh over hydroballs edge-to-edge in all directions of water feature's perimeter. 11. Add a thin layer of moss (keeps substrate from making the water merky). 12. Add substrate. 13. Add other stuff (rocks, vines, plants, etc.). 14. Add water. 15. Plug it in and watch it flow.

Not worth the effort.
I bought this package in hopes of making a small waterfall feature for my Crested Geckos cage. I have a 18x18x18 cage and it took THREE bags of hydroballs to fill it that I had to go out and buy separately, because one did not come with this package (why, I have no idea?) 1) The pump: One out of Five stars. Honestly, the pump is not worth it. Go to an outdoor pond, pool, or specialty aquarium shop and get one. This pump is VERY loud for the amount of water it pumps (or in my case, doesn't). When I opened it up to find out why it wasn't pumping, it turns out that the prongs that propel the water through the pump were cracked and/or missing.... there was only one working prong, which wasn't enough to propel the water with enough force up the output tube. 2) The mesh: ZERO out of Five stars / Five out of Five stars. It's just mesh, so why give it such a bad review? Because I didn't get any. 5/5 if I did get some. 3) The hydroballs: ZERO out of Five stars / Three out of Five stars. Same as above. I did not get any in my package for some reason. But the bags I did purchase, about 1/4th of them were broken and the rest were EXTREMELY dirty, no matter how many times I washed them... so they get 3/5 stars. 4) The tubing: Four out of Five Stars. Would be 5/5 stars if the tubing was a little less thick, and you could at least bend it at mild angles.

Good luck!
This did it work for us at all. Hard to install and very hard to keep running without clogging. I removed it from my frog tank within days. Good idea but not so great execution.

You only get 4 items in this
I hope this review helps others like other reviews did not help me, as you see in my pictures I hope this gives you more clarity of what you are exactly buying I know there are details listed in the description but seeing is better than reading about it. You ONLY get . The Hydroballs . Terrarium Mesh . Plastic Tub . and Water pump if you're not looking to cash out to make a natural-looking waterfall then don't get this, everything you'll need/ want to make it look how it does in pictures or videos then you'll need to buy everything separate. It'll start to run you up and it still may not even turn out how you hoped. Now if you have time to spare, you're really creative and you don't mind spending the money on your enclosure then this is for you.

Love using this when making a waterfall using a false bottom in an terrarium using hydro balls (clay) as a bank, or a water table inside the terrarium
