Light Grey Uber Goop Dishwasher Rack Paint & Glue (Bottle only)

This was easy to use. Provided very thorough instructions which I followed and it turned an old looking dishwasher rack into a “like new” rack. It stayed right where I put it and dried quickly. Stood up to many dishwashing cycles after application. Highly recommend. Good color match, too.

This product works great! I have bought this twice and will buy again if necessary.

I have a Bosch dishwasher with both light and dark tines. I purchased the Dark Grey Uber goop. It worked well for the dark tines but wasn't going to work for the light ones. So, I bought the light grey goop. This is VERY light grey. It is just off of white. It was far too light for the light grey tines. I decided to make a custom color by combining some of the dark and light grey. With about 1 part dark to 3 parts light I was able to get a color close to the light grey of my dishwasher rack. I used some plastic recycling trash as my palette. I had to work quickly because the goop dried in no time. Mixing a bigger puddle of goop worked better than a smaller one because I could dip into it more than once before it dried. I've included pictures of my work. Each of the tines in the picture had rusted. They got cleaned (steel wool to scrub off the rust, rinsed and throughly dried) and covered with goop. There is also patch work on the rail inside the handle. Overall, I'm satisfied with the product. I just wish it had more shades of grey or a kit that made blending custom colors easier.

I touched up my upper dishwasher rack just a few weeks ago, but so far, so good. We use Finish tabs which are pretty heavy duty, and I'm not seeing any wear on the parts I painted. The accompanying directions are very clear for how to use the Goop. It took some prep time to get rid of all the rust and cracked plastic coating, but like any paint job, the prep is important. The lighter gray is the color you want if your DW racks have a stainless steel appearance. The other color would be too dark. It's worth a shot rather than buying a new rack ... hard to find on a 9-year-old Bosch. If this wears out, I'll just touch it up again rather than buy a new dishwasher!

Dishwasher rust was completely ruining all of my white dishes. I was skeptical about how this would actually work and whether or not it would make my dishwasher look worse. The verdict: it’s super easy to apply and dries fast. Honestly, I can’t even tell it’s there, other than the fact that my dishwasher looks so much better and I’m no longer getting rust stains on my dishes. It’s not cheap, but considering the price of new dishes, this was well worth it.

Once you open it, it will dry out. So if you’re planning on using a little then saving the rest, forget it. Not worth the price. Look at hardware store for better options.

I used this to cover rusted spots on the racks of my relatively new dishwasher a few months ago. So far none of the product has budged an inch and there have not been any new rust spots since. Very useful product and application was easy. Just be careful not to get any on counters or elsewhere because it sets quickly and is strong.

Worked great. Stopped my dishes from getting rust marks. Much cheaper than a new rack.
