Wezu 200mm (8") Precision Wide Base Machinist Engineer Square

Very nice square. Keep in mind it is 1/4" thick giving it a decent weight which is almost too much for my purpose of woodworking. I don't expect it to loose accuracy from minor drops to the ground (that is unless by chance I ever drop it off a second story roof which would not be minor and even then I doubt it may cause an issue with it). I wanted something I could rely on that was durable not only for marking but also checking angles and setting up various tools but did not want to invest a whole pay check especially just for my personal use. This one will serve me very well and will last me forever.

Poor quality. It isn't square. Base doesn't line up with the edge of the long beam. Allen screws that hold on the base were poorly drilled and and not centered on the mail beam. You can see dimples on the short beam where the screws are drilled. 2 stars because I guess it could be worse but not by much.

It’s pretty accurate, but it was dropped on one corner. The box was intact so I think the drop happened in the factory. Should have been handled more carefully.

The square is nicely made and as accurate as I have the tools to test against. However, I was a little disappointed to see that the base is screwed to the square with 2 little tiny screws. By the photo, I'd assumed that it was one piece. I haven't had it long enough to determine if this is a durability issue or not.

I run a Bridgeport Mill, and I use this square everyday.
